Keep it in a well ventilated box with a heating pad, warm water bottle, or in of those socks you can warm up. See if there are any rehabbers or rescues that will take it (not as snake food). If you can’t find any give it a little food. Think cheerios, eggs, some fruit. Also provide it with a water source. Let me know how it goes!

I just found a couple of mice in my chicken pen. We moved their nest out of the pen to a box so the mom could find them with shavings We didn’t touch them, we scooped them out into more shavings. Will the mom find them? We were afraid the chickens would kill them

I would check on them and see if mom is there. If you don’t find her pick them up with some gloves and see if they have a white line on their stomach. This indicated they’ve been fed. If you don’t see a white line and you wait a couple more hours you will have to hand raise them.

Are these little mouses that came into your house? I have a little one that is living under my dishwasher. And he hasn't gone away. I was hoping that he'd find his way back outside again. So I would say that maybe hes a couple of weeks old because he can run around and come into my bedroom when he senses that I'm in there. I would never try to pick him up even by the tail. Like I've seen a previous picture. But I'm not too sure if I wanna set a little mouse trap for him. Any ideas or thoughts I know. They only live to be about 12 months old.

Look up creek valley critters. She has a whole series of raising them. I would recommend using esbilac puppy formula, not kitten formula or goats milk however.

Is he still alive? See if you can find a local rehabber that can raise it because it’s incredibly difficult and the success rate is incredibly low even for super experienced people. I recommend watching creek valley critters ‘raising a baby mouse’ series but I’ll go over the most important things. The baby should have some sort of heat source weather it be a heating pad under the enclosure, a hot water bottle (I don’t recommend using this if you have any other options, or one of those microwave stuffed animals. The baby will need feeding and help going to the bathroom every 2 hours including the night. You can use goats milk, kitten formula, or puppy formula as the milk source. Pedialyte is crucial to get it re-hydrated. If it ever looks super wrinkly you should give it some. Before feeding always use a q tip and very lightly rub belly to help with digestion. You can use a tiny paintbrush to feed it (just dip it in the formula and let the baby suckle on it) If you ever see bubbles coming out of its nose stop right away because it has inhaled some milk. When it is finished it will start to get very tired and have a white band on it belly. After this you need to dip the q tip in lukewarm water (this stimulates the mothers warm tongue) and rub on its private areas for about 30 seconds. It’s poop will be very small and orange and it should hopefully pee almost every time. You can also rub their belly before doing this to aid it’s digestion. I think I’ve covered the most important things but people be sure to watch the videos I recommended. Best of luck to you and the little baby and keep me updated!
