People stick to the watches brand idea, even if it's technically non-sensical. That's evidenced by the fact that "waterproof to a depth of 100m" is treated at face value, as if anybody would go diving 100m with a $20k watch. I mean few people even go giving 10+ meter under any circumstance, let a lone with an item that's worth 3 years of apartment rent. In the same vain, people then disregard an Explorer that looks like the piece of jewelry that it is.

Because it go’s against the whole Explorer ethos. I guess we can expect a two tone Explorer 2 now haha. I really don’t mind. I pick up my 124270 next week 😍
