Well done Wayne Brown... thanks Mike for bringing this to light. It has driven most of us crazy for years.. blocking off access to local businesses and costing loss of revenue, causing huge traffic hold ups and all the while no workman working behind the cones... month after month they can be in place with no work being done. It is absolute madness.

I must agree that NZ is getting cone happy. I see them leaving cones and 30km/h signs out over weekends, with no dangers, no activity.

Traffic management is a joke. Whilst the brynderwyns are closed they put a pair of lights at each single lane bridge These lights are manually operated !!! I left uk in 1990 and we had temporary traffic lights with infra red sensors totally automatic Here we have four men per pair of lights one or two trucks plus a portaloo Icing on the cake 🎂 they don’t get set up before 7:30 🕢 and are packed up by 5 pm
