No one doubts that NHI in any country will benefit people provided there is money for it. How is it going to work in South Africa when the government just doesn't have the money for it. Not only that, is there any state owned entity functioning properly today? The state health facilities are in a mess, there is virtually no rail transport anymore, the Post office is bankrupt, Eskom is bankrupt and every other SOE is in a mess. NHI as good as it sounds is another disaster waiting to unfold.
