He has no idea how markets work and calling the DA’s support of a ANC minority government racist is just plain stupid. His anklagt of what the DA is offering is even more stupid. An ANC in government still has control over ALL money which no worker on a building site has. And the ANC can still build the country in their image which again the worker cannot do. The biggest problem the ANC has with a minority government is that they cannot be as corrupt as they have been.

Surely it's important to think about rebuilding South Africa's infrastructure, education, healthcare, railways etc, and the necessity to actually run our country for everyone to benefit from all it has to offer. We need to give up ideology and think practically. Otherwise we will all live with chaos and anarchy. And fear.

ANC policy does not endorse corruption. All parties protect their own. IFP - it's loyalists benefitted from Ithala Bank to the exclusion of non-loyalists. Ziba Jiyane got funding to build a mall, Bishop Zulu benefitted her children with accomodations for nurses and government accomodations - for allowing the IFP to be formed out of the Zululand Diosces of the Anglican Church. Malema and Floyd collapsed the Venda Bank after building a R3,6 million property to build a R16 million mansion (stopped in its tracks). The DA will say nothing whenever a White apartheid era issue gets dissected. MKP is stupidly trying to fight the Zuma homestead battles wallowing the future of their kids - already stolen in an era of a kleptocracy formented by non other than the deranged old man.

I agree with Gogo Matshiqe in that the MK must not exist solely as a dichotomy to the ANC that must not be its end goal. However, I think the MK has to be exemplary in advancing the national democratic revolution. It must be the anti-thesis of the Zulu nationalism it's is being acussed of and finally it must apply meritocratic governance in KZN and make the province a shining example of meritocratic governance and service delivery.

@user-ed5mk3tp9g you over estimate the power of others trying to undermine a specific type of party no one but the party them selves can undermine themselves even if outside forces tried to do exactly that if a party was capable of being good the party would cancel out those who seek to undermine them. Do not blame other parties If your parties policies don't work or can't get enough exposure to change the way they want things in a democratic society things get voted for and against the sign of a good party is what they can do with what they have not what they wish to have and are not capable of getting

The analogy made by Matshiqi of supply & demand that DA is offering ANC is not only hugely flawed but also deeply dishonest, especially calling it racist. The DA wants the person who is spending the voters money to disclaim what it is doing with the money. The main objective here is to stop corruption. The ANC in return gets to implement its politics for real instead of helping itself to the money that is meant for their voters.
@mandypannack15117 ай бұрын
Agree completely. Also, why must racism always come as an excuse. The ANC have made it very clear and evident that they have no idea how to honestly handle the finances. The DA running the Western Cape have proved they have the interest of the country at heart regarding finances so its logical that the DA should get the chance to prove they can do better than the ANC in that regard. It's not about the "white" party lording over the "black" party. That's a very insecure, immature way of thinking.

In my humble opinion the ANC, since 1994 was NEVER the ANC that we grew up hearing about; the ideals, the principles, the revolution that it stood for that we learned growing up from our parents. Those of us who had parents who used to discuss the ANC in hush hush tones growing up, we had the idea that the ANC was this MESSIAH coming to save black people from oppression in all its forms and that we were ultimately going to own our land back and everything that goes with freedom, and I for one had all these wonderful things in my mind that the 1994 ANC failed miserably to give back to the black child! Sad 😢

Knowing what I know now, and it is this: Tata was released from prison on conditions set by our oppressor at home and abroad! He had to relinquish certain crucial ideals, and this is why (from what I have observed retrospectively), and learned throughout the years after his release, he was taken to Pollsmoor prison to have those sellout discussions before the big CODESA meetings! Now I know also why he had to be separated from the PATRIOTIC and REVOLUTIONARY Mama Winnie by him “divorcing” her! Also, why do you think the PATRIOTIC and REVOLUTIONARY Chris Hani was taken out?? I don’t know how many ordinary South Africans know that the country they think is “their” country is in fact a corporation owned by the rich oligarchs and is registered in the USA!!! Maybe, just maybe if all South Africans knew what this entails and UNDERSTOOD the implications, there would be a real revolution about their land!

Some scholars have written on the role of 'liberation movements' after the attainment of liberation. They argue that most liberation movements fail to transition into 'real political parties' Liberation movements consist of people with different political ideologies/philosophies who are brought together by a single objective of removing the oppressive/unjust ruling class. After liberation, the removal of the oppressive/unjust ruling class removes the key factor that united people, thus rendering the liberation movement irrelevant unless it transforms itself.

I fully agree. Wasn't he the greedy force behind the demise of the ANC, disregarding the MK veterans, and a power unto himself, using his position in the party to enrich himself and his family/friends? And now using the MK as the brand (and playing the emotional strings attached to it by MK veterans) he once again uses a group (party) to drive the greed for power and, ultimately enrichment. Just speculating...
