Team RACISM at it's finest! 1. The police never asked the employee for his side of the story. 2. They never asked to see the video proof. 3. The police never refuted the so-called "evidence" (which didn't exist). 4. The owner LIED by not revealing that employees are required to leave with packages for delivery as part of their job duties. 5. Though there are several employees who had access, the black guy was selected as the culprit of an imaginary theft. 6. 'Never checked with the post office or reviewed the tracking updates. 7. The police had the option of providing a court summons or issuing a citation versus an actual arrest. 8. The police could have handled this as a civil matter (a LOST item is all we have here) and advised/ referred the alleged victim to civil court. 9. The police tried to CREATE an arrest for THC to appease the white owner. 10. Though several police officers showed up on the scene, not one was on board with doing the right thing. Instead, they tried to stick it to him. 11. The police, knowing the owner was 100% wrong, is heard on video explaining to the white owner how he intends to doctor up/cover-up/falsify/embellish the police report to make him shine. 12. The victim/arrestee was never given an apology. 13. In essence, the victim/arrestee was FIRED due to the post office or delivery service losing the package.

Some will say, due to a privileged status that, racism had nothing to do with how the police responded. A lawsuit is based on a complaint like the one made by a co-worker. Courts will decide whether the complaint is "unreasonable." Doing nothing is a greater injustice. Make the complaint about how your civil rights were violated by being falsely accused of a crime, fired from your job, and then have officers act with prejudice and malice as they attempted to cover it all up. The court will decide based on the facts presented and the merits if you are entitled to compensation for the harm caused to you.

Right, what was the circumstances on it appearing 10 minutes after arrested. Was it found in the office, was it returned to sender by FedEx. Perhaps, James took a different box that shipped just fine, and they are confused on what box it was. Many questions need to be publicly answered. However, Operators are a tight knit community so they will go Shields UP to protect themselves. All videos on their You tube have comments turned off. They are on damage control and all of it was avoidable with simple asking questions in the beginning before police were called.

The cop says to the black guy, "Thank you for being cool with me and cooperative with me." Then, he tells the guys inside the business that he tried to charge the black guy for having a "weed pen," but they didn't grant him the charge. A cop is legally obliged to investigate the charge, and any evidence to that effect can and should be used against the suspect. However, trying to find anything you can to effect an arrest, regardless of whether it has anything to do with the inciting incident, is ridiculous. It is essential that he says, "I tried my best to destroy your life. Thank you for cooperating."

The cop Reyes promised the employer to 'document the hell' out this incident to the employer can avoid any culpability in the false arrest. That means he plans to file a FALSE report and he will end up in court to explain why his report does NOT match the bodycam footage that was recorded. Most likely, the attorneys for the PD will advise them to come to a settlement with Humphreys to avoid the embarrassment of their officers taking the stand to explain why they did NO investigation and just arrested him, even with bodycam showing that the owners did not want to arrest him right away, but to work things out. So WHY did they call the police then? They made NO attempt to get an explanation from the employee accused of theft BEFORE the called the police and accused him of theft.
