Congratulations on incredible depth of knowledge. I've recently purchased 2 x 18kt Constellations 1959'ish (serial no's both 17 millions) 561 & 551. One with Dennison case. Much more complexity with watches than my main collcting hobby of electric guitar's ..

Thanks for sharing! I’ve not seen a British market Constellation for a very long time. Here is a really nice article about them if you’re interested to read about them: omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.com/2013/01/from-advent-of-bretton-woods-monetary.html?m=1

Love your videos so much. I just bought a vintage blue sea master cosmic 2000 and I wanted to know what you think about the watch in general. and yes it has a 1000 series movement but I am a learning watchmaker so the date issue isn't a problem to me.

Books that point out what is wrong with all kind of watches? Don’t think there is such a book.

Which vintage Omega do you recommend with 40mm in diameter, Seamaster or Constellation. I have large wrist of 8.5 inches.
@TimelessHistoryChannel3 ай бұрын
There are some 40mm+ Seamaster. Very few. But there is no 40mm vintage Constellation. 37mm is the biggest for a vintage Constellation.

Sao, I have stayed away from vintage Omega due to size. I prefer 39-40MM. What year or era did Omega start to make 39 and 40MM cases for men more standard?
@TimelessHistoryChannel3 ай бұрын
I think you begin to encounter some 39-42mm regular Seamaster as early as the 1970s.

I've never seen an Omega ref. 2766 with Chronometre Officially Certified on the dial. I have seen regular gold capped versions of this reference with this second hand.

I got 2/10 !! The easy ones...... the others, required specialist knowledge. * The "T" for the non-luminous Tritium hands !! * The star missing, on the Constellation.

@@flytoday, do you mean the pieces in this video? When a vintage Omega watch is all correct, it looks amazing.
