I bought this model 18 years ago when it was standard model on black bezel and dial. It comprised two calibres, 3301 (less decorated calibre) and 3303. I think it should be the same as 1285 as you have mentioned.

Tim, how is the 1285 tougher than the 1185 besides the higher beat rate? You mentioned other features that make it "nicer" (power reserve, hacking seconds) but not much else that lends to movement toughness.

It has the addition of a free sprung balance wheel
