It's coming to something when hacking seconds is a big deal on a watch of that price.

People's standards are so low when it comes to swiss watches, that basic functionality on a five figure watch is something to brag about

I do have to chuckle at the fact that it's a plastic strap.

@@markfiori246 I would rather not have a piece of plastic strapped to my skin 8+ hours per day. I would simply take silicone or even rubber instead.

Looks great if you never wear it because it’s a scratch magnet.

Those afraid of scratch cannot afford it, a watch is meant to be worn, it is not an investment rather a watch, there is nothing wrong with scratches on watch as it is part of every ownership journey. These are haute horology meant for the extremely affluent people who can afford it, people like me can buy it but not necessarily afford it.

@@MrRoyck10 There are materials, surface treatments and processes that can make a watch virtually scratch proof, unfortunately these tend to be applied to tool watches from brands like Sinn and Damasko. If I’m going to spend 50k on a watch, I would like the manufacturer to invest in scratch proof technologies. Not everyone has the same view on watch wear and tear.

@@johnayres2303 How are you going to make gold scratch proof? Steel or titanium yes, but gold? The best thing about gold is that it patinas quickly and then you don't have to worry about it. When I first got my wedding ring, it was mirror polished and I was nervous about scratching it. When it developed a patina after a few months, I simply stopped worrying. It still looks like beautiful yellow gold and it will always look like beautiful yellow gold. My friend owns a 45 thousand euro gold watch from a well known high-horology watchmaker that has also developed a patina (a muted look), and he couldn't care less about the polishing. With gold, even a shirt cuff rubbing against the case will tone it down. It's just the way the material is, and in my opinion, it is best to embrace it.
