Trying to up my game, it got in my head to purchase a Patek, this Patek. But pretty fast I came to find out, that I made every mistake when buying a watch (see video ID-guy). It ended up in the watchbox... Then I made the descission to trade it up for a Lange 1 101.033. Best choice I ever made, the Lange makes me smiles everytime I look at it, and that’s what it is all about!!

I find it fascinating just to look at it but I also agree that a lot of PP club members would not want to have it. The taste of each PP member canot be commented in here in good faith. Would I enjoy it myself? Yes, yes, yes. It is gorgeous and very unusual in the Calatrava family. I also wish PP would come up with a watch similar to 5153g-012 but with a very dark navy enamel feu and luminous arab numerals and breguet style arms. I will sell all my watches to buy that one. Even this one 6006G.

I heard the story was Porsche collaborated with Patek on this, and then at some point the project was cancelled I’m not sure by which party. the dial / font design matches up in a way to the vintage Porsche speedometers. Maybe it was to become a Porsche edition model?
