The first photo isn't the 023, but it's a nice looking Seiko that has a similar dial and handset. Thanks for watching!

Great job, man! I wish seiko did a day-date version of the VH31 or bulova sells its 262khz movements so We could swap these old 7s26

@@pczYT oh I don't care what version of the movement they use or dial they put on it, my role is just to fit that family of movements to the case.

Does the 515 date align with the nh35 date window?

Custom movement holders is your niche man. It’s a very useful skill. People can continue wearing their loved watches. Sometimes switching the movements may even be necessary if discontinued, although many manufacturers will offer a replacement for that movement. Nonetheless very useful skill.

yeah I've settled into this sort of work if I'm going to spend some time on custom parts. usually it's people just wanting the convenience of quartz with the dive look.

Does anyone take it a step further and replace the movement with a smartwatch somehow? I have a Tag F1 I got for my engagement and it got saltwater into it...

I do not understand a reason why watch with a cheap quartz movement is declared to be automatic Seiko watch.
@WatchComplications4 ай бұрын
the person wanted their old Seiko fitted with a quartz movement, so it's their choice if the dial has the original text and the movement has been changed. I wouldn't sell new builds with that design, but for a person's personal project and watch, that's their choice.
