I recently got the Daytona homage from them, the black and silver dial. Proper step up from Pagani Design, and even a filled out warranty card, unlike literally every other AliExpress watch besides Cronos that I’ve bought!

Appreciate the video. Since you’ve been in contact with the company, can you provide some feedback that’s been posted on the subreddit for the Speedy? Including the bezel being far too thick (as thick and possibly thicker than PD), lack of the crown guard making the overall look of the watch look off, pushers sticking out far too much

Logo is a bit like Warner Bros. But not too bad. I started to think of Bugs bunny for some weird reason. The vintage submariner is nice, I’d probably pick the date version without fake patina. Not sure any of these watches will help me find a wife. My ultimate litmus test. Lol

The Speedy homage is very nice. What would make it perfect in the future is using the Seiko VK67 meca quartz movement. That has a functioning 12-hour register/timer at the 9. It would do away with that useless, offensive 24 hour register.

@@EscapeWheel Very interesting. Moved to the top meaning similar to the Citizen Bullhead? Layout isn't very important to me, just a similar look with a true 12-hour register/timer. I really dislike the 24-hour register.

I have the dial B option in the mail. Looked great, had to have it! Usually aluminum bezels sound differently "worse" than ceramic ones. WD speedy is a disappointment, for me. Best thing is the crystal! It’s too thick, that midcase, what were they thinking… The taper from 20-16 is too much for me, the taper on the Pagani was perfect for me, I know that’s subjective, but still. On a side note, still no one makes a dark blue sunburst Daytona homage, like the 116509…

Thanks for the unboxing! I have 4 from Watchdives, all running well without me having to regulate them, no qc issues with any of them, they're really nice for the money. Just got my 79090, white indices, and the bezel's ok, not great like my wd5512, and it is a bit chunky, but they just nailed the blue color. It really is gorgeous. White 'Speedy' next.

I would LOVE to see them expand their speedy collection...I think it's selling really well (talking with the store) so I can see some other colorways in the future (project Alaska anyone? alpha hands? tintin?japan racing, apollo 11 45th. the options are endless!

Steve I have the Steeldive version of the 50 Fathoms & it’s a great watch! Watchdives version hits the mark too! Also I’ve got the PD white dial chrono & it’s good value for money. Again the WD is a step up as is their Speedy homage. My only issue with PD is their pathetic lume. Cheers mate.👍🏼😎

I've heard good things about the SD 50F besides the looonngg lugs 😀. Also had the PD1644 and 1664 and yeah, hard to beat for the money but man, the lume is pretty good on this thing...and I've always had a love/hate relationship with the PD "Rolex" style clasp...super sharp and half the time the extension doesn't work for me so no micro adjustment.

I placed the order May14 and have not responded on the tracking yet. I purchased wd1861, quite skeptical of watchdives quality but I pulled the trigger based on positive reviews I watched. I hope the quality is on par with san martins, sugess or cronos 🤞🏻

White dials were a little delayed, should be going out soon. As for quality, don't expect that type of quality...maybe sugess, but not San Martin. These slot nicely between steeldive and sugess. Sugess has slightly nicer bracelets and clasps.

Hey Steve - you mentioned that the WD79090 (Blue vintage sub) was better than the Baltany - assume you mean the similar looking S3043 with NH38 & Aluminium bezel? What was it about that Baltany that you didn’t like and made this one an improvement?

I bought the Baltany and sent it back. The bezel was terrible. It rocked and wobbled and felt like a $20 knock off. It was misaligned too. The rest of the watch was kinda meh and the weird mix of Mercedes hour and massive sword minute was really noticeable in the flesh.

nothing really, I just think this is better value. the baltany doesn't have any pull over this one...not even the crystal. bezel action feels the same between the 2, I prefer these dials, and the nearly $100 price difference.

slightly...not enough to make it wear smaller. less than a mm on diameter (bezel diameter is the same) thickness I believe is also very similar (I swapped my pagani crystal so i can't get an accurate reading anymore) and Lug tolug is also within half a mm.

Im not completely satisfied with the speedy, but the daytona looks nice tbh. Would you say finish quality is worth double the price of the PD? Lume isnt that important to me.

Bear in mind you'll be trading ceramic bezel for aluminum. EDIT: my bad, I was thinking about the Speedy but the Daytona's bezel is ceramic.

Bracelet brushing is a step up but I wouldn't say the case is 2x nicer. Bracelet fit and finish, no-date dial, and the lume are the big sellers here

I really wish Watchdives or one of the other similar brands would make a blue Tudor Sub homage WITHOUT the faux patina. PLEASE someone do a Snowflake sub with regular white lume, and not "aged" lume. I had the real deal Tudor Sub back in the late 1980s-early 1990s, and the closest I've found to the look and feel is the Baltany Retro Diver. But it too has the faux patina.

The Watchdive Speedy is a downgrade to the Pagani. No ceramic bezel insert, but the real kicker is that annoying Rolex type caseback on the Watchdive. Any particular reason why they didn't give it a standard one that's easier to open?
