I rewatched all of season 5 and just now realized why the Hologram Professor's hat came off during the fight scene. In the defenestration episode, they talked about how in 1618, before the 3 men were thrown out of the window, they were asked to take their hats off. At 24:26 in that video, they joke that they won't be thrown out of the window if they still have their hat on. However, the now Hatless Hologram Professor was thrown out of the window, and I simply cannot believe that wasn't done by accident. The amount of thought put into this series

ahh i honestly teared up when they realised the meteor was coming and the professor’s parents reassured him they were so loving and so sweet i think this healed my inner child... shane thank you so much for creating this wonderful show
@autumnsfablekeeper44192 жыл бұрын
The whole episode the parents were so supportive, kind, and hilarious. They were so sweet in a strangely realistic way. The way they answered the questions and interacted with their son shows that while they don't quite understand what he's talking about they still love him and fully support him. This made the end with the meteor so much more heart breaking, especially how they handled it!

I love the fact the professor just accepted the dinos as his parents. When he calls them Mom and Dad it makes me feel wholesome fuzzys that I’ve been missing. Ryan’s fight scene with the evil little Digi-Professor was surprisingly intense considering one of the parties involved doesn’t have any bones. Do we know Digi-Prof is dead? We don’t see where he lands after he’s defenestrated he could have landed in a conveniently placed dung pile.

Anybody else get kind of teary eyed over the Asteroids part? Like I was already really touched by the family talking about facing their death together, but then the Asteroid was all anxious and trying to be open as he spoke to the planet itself and then the part where they were in awe of our world and we got all those clips...yeah the waterworks started at that point

conceptualizing the meteor hitting the earth as also looking down the barrel of his own death/apocalypse was so potent. for the earth to be a final resting place for something cosmically alien... i've watched the ending musical for this three times and that and the fast sequence of images of nature from earth never fail to get me bawling like a baby.

What award can Shane be given? Because he really really deserves it.
@LilyoftheLake14 Жыл бұрын
Maybe a streamy award for best webseries? 🤷♀️ This deserves like, an Emmy, but that won't happen with the way Hollywood is, they don't like anything that is online only, even if it streams on one of the Streaming platforms. Which could happen with this since Ryan and Shane got all of buzzfeed unsolved on Hulu at one point and even though that was with buzzfeed, they possibly have the connections still from their Hulu deal. I'd imagine they were possibly in the room/call with the Hulu representative to discuss the rights for the show. Though buzzfeed could've also told them that their show was being shown to Streaming platforms and then didn't let them in the negotiations since they didn't legally have to because buzzfeed owned the rights.
