Suuuuper late but you're def right! He probably got a more advanced puppet (and after watching the small cameo in the Max Headroom MF video, I think even arm rods?) So Shane is def evolving as a puppeteer!

In the audio commentary, Shane said he was origianly going to introduce the redesign as a quick joke but one night as he's sleeping said "I'ma kill him!" and basiclly wrote season 4 and 5 as a massive plot to kill and resurect Proffessor McNasty. So...Yup!

@@SSgamer69 I have, I much prefer this. The only thing I really liked from that was that big robot looking dude (I forget his name) the only alien that actually looked like an alien, the others looked and sounded exactly human - seriously it's a less interesting universe than even Star Trek's universe. I also enjoyed Mattpat being a jerk though. I like the idea of a villainous creepy puppet hologram wanting to exist more than any of the ideas in "In space with markiplier" and I watched both parts and every possible route and ending.

I rewatched all of season 5 and just now realized why the Hologram Professor's hat came off during the fight scene. In the defenestration episode, they talked about how in 1618, before the 3 men were thrown out of the window, they were asked to take their hats off. At 24:26 in that video, they joke that they won't be thrown out of the window if they still have their hat on. However, the now Hatless Hologram Professor was thrown out of the window, and I simply cannot believe that wasn't done by accident. The amount of thought put into this series

Maybe a streamy award for best webseries? 🤷‍♀️ This deserves like, an Emmy, but that won't happen with the way Hollywood is, they don't like anything that is online only, even if it streams on one of the Streaming platforms. Which could happen with this since Ryan and Shane got all of buzzfeed unsolved on Hulu at one point and even though that was with buzzfeed, they possibly have the connections still from their Hulu deal. I'd imagine they were possibly in the room/call with the Hulu representative to discuss the rights for the show. Though buzzfeed could've also told them that their show was being shown to Streaming platforms and then didn't let them in the negotiations since they didn't legally have to because buzzfeed owned the rights.
