Would definitely like to see more like this. Something especially around “the pictures don’t do this justice.” Website photos and what this looks like on wrist is like buying a Cologne after smelling it on a tester strip as opposed to a full wearing.

Thanks to your videos, have rediscovered watches (at 67 years old...). Since I'm retired, the sub $1000 range is my intended realm. I really want that gorgeous Tissot PRX 80. I have an 8.5 inch wrist, so I need to go 40mm and up. Lots of beauties in this video.

I got the Seiko 5 GMT (blueberry) just before last Christmas and the offer of a generous discount made it a no brainer. In daily wear, it's so comfortable and has received compliments, what has come as a surprise is that for such a bargain of a watch, it feels so classy to wear. I'd highly recommend one of these watches.

I have one and while I like it, I haven’t quite bonded with it yet and might sell it if I must to level up to another watch. With that said, it is a fantastic watch objectively and the finishing is truly great. Mine also runs at -2 seconds a day which is exceptional for a watch at this price.

I love the fact you mentioned the Mido. I got this watch for almost a year now and man does it hold up, especially in its grey variant. The finish is great, it feels heavy and well built, and you can really tell it’s worth just by the reactions I get off it, most people think it cost at least 5K. I can’t be more satisfied with it.

Casio is just amazing at everything. People think of Casio as gshocks and $20 "fun" watches. In a way, they have no business even putting something like the Oceanus series out. It's almost like an outlet for them to say "watch this". I don't own one, but every Oceanus watch I have ever seen, you could just stare at for days. I do however own a duro (mdv-106). When I got it 8 years ago, it was about $40 (I think they are around $47 now). The finishing and just presence of this $40 watch is really something special and makes you wonder how. I have other Casios and gshocks. The duro gets a ton of compliments and loves just about every strap you put it on. Not to mention, I have put this watch through just about everything for the time I've owned it, changed the battery once, and it's just such an amazing time keeping tool.

I used to agree with you. The Gentleman was on the top of my list for a long time. But the bezel is unpolished, which means it will show every scratch in detail, such as on the PRC200 I currently wear. Also generally let down by the lume on Tissots - what’s your take on this?

It's a great watch, versatile and very accurate for the price point. But for having one, that huge bezel without hard-coating is a scratch magnet, especially if it's your everyday watch. The lume is meh, but the dial and accuracy are very, very good. The side case looked brushed which has a different tone, pretty nice. Also, for one comment above, you can get black and silver with or without lines too. I got the silver one.

If you look at the PRX Quartz, I wouldn't say the dials are plain at all... The sunburst in the original dial colors are pretty spectacular and I honestly prefer it over the waffle-pattern of the auto. This is the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on a PRX yet: an automatic movement with a dial from a quartz version would be my ideal PRX!

An auto that can be regulated easily. Youk know what just the old 2824 Cosc with 40h reserve will do. With a sapphire back, that caliber is good looking enough. And keep the size from the quartz. Add better anti reflections coating, on the exterior only and we have a deal. Say, south of 1500?

I also liked the Orient and Milo, and couldn’t help but admire the 1970s throwback style Hamilton digital. I also owned a Bulova dive watch back in the late 1970s, and to this date it remains one of my all-time favorite watches. I don’t really think there is a right or wrong watch or list, as watch brands, styles and features are personal preferences. I enjoy these little video lists with Teddy, especially when I don’t have to listen to Kevin (Mr. not so wonderful) O’Leary flap his egotistical soup coolers constantly. Keep up the good work Teddy.

Bought a blue 40mm automatic PRX. it's a great bargain. I'd prefer the Christopher Ward twelve in 40mm, but at double the price i decided to buy the PRX and am happy with my choice. The PRX bracelet is amazing for a watch under $1k. The dials are solid and the overall watch size on my 6.5" wrist feels classy and appropriately sized...but i would probably favor a larger case size if my wrist was 7" or larger. Overall, the PRX is a very great watch for under $1k. A good daily wearable watch. But it won't blow anyone away or fool anyone into thinking it is a $5k watch...but rather plays out as a super solid, well built and classy modern watch with a 1970s nostalgic style. If you have $2,000+ to spend on a watch, you can find better watches than the PRX. If you have a budget under $1k, its unlikely you find a better overall watch than the PRX.

The Mako 3 Ti is a little sharp on the bezel though. May be a side effect of the titanium surface treatment.

Don't do it, man. Stop buying these watches. It's better to save that money. Or just save up a couple of years & buy a watch from a better brand. Trust me you won't be happy.

Zelos is slept on. Crazy value and with its limited releases, collectability.

From all your wonderful reviews - I have identified most of the watches in the next price segment. Other people would appreciate you saving them many hours of research - please also include chronomter accuracy. You review would be appreciated - I am based in the UK but really value your videos. Use a G-SHOCK GA-B2100C-9AER -- when I am breaking concrete, doing violent digging etc. Sternglas - Naos White - 38mm - while in London and NOT getting robbed. A smart everyday watch is the next item on the shopping list

I agree with your hot take. I have two PSRs (the regular and the Matrix), plus a bunch of other LED watches from Yema, Bulova, etc. People who call the Hamilton overpriced compared to its competition have not seen these watches in person. The Hamilton is far, far ahead on every level, and also provides a time read-out in daylight without pushing the button. The timekeeping accuracy is also far ahead. Tremendous watch with tremendous history.

Well, I have the Seiko 5, the Orient, and the Bulova Lunar Pilot. All very nice. I think you need to add one to the list. I have an amazing watch that runs between $6-$900 depending on where you get it. And I think it blows all of those out of the water the Certina DS Action GMT Powermatic 80! Absolutely amazing watch, fit and finish for the price! And a 80 hour power reserve as well!🤙😎
