I agree, but to me it’s not surprising. I have two Orient Bambino’s One with a green dial, and one with the Pearl white. They are my “everyday go to’s” even though I have a couple of carriers and some Longines and Tissot which are significantly “more watch!” There’s something about their elegant functionality, at their price point, which gives me a certain peace if not joy! I’m just not as relaxed when I’m wearing my Cartier’! Their Kamasu dive watch looks and feels really good on the wrist, and is on my list. I own a Hydro Conquest which is a bit higher spec, but I actually prefer the fur. finish and size of the Kamasu. Orients got it going on!

I been thinking about the Seiko Green Alpininst. Seiko makes many watches. Many are good looking. The Green Alpininst I believe is a watch Men like looking at. It is a steel watch that looks like a classic. Not too dressy but dressy enough. It is not a diver but a field watch. But has the strength of a diver. It is original looking with out being a Submamariner clone. It is a solid watch which people can afford without feeling they settled for less. It is unique. There are few watches that you look at that you admire it's looks after bought it. I even like it better than the Grand Seiko watches. That is why it came in second in your survey. I own several vintage Omega watches. I like vintage Omega watches. But the Watch which is not over priced is a watch brings me pleasure. It is one those rare watches that come by that you know is a winner!

I had a PRX automatic with the blue waffle dial (very nice looking and comfortable to wear) and it developed helicopter rotor so I had to send it in for repair. Them my MIDO with basically the same movement developed the same issue. I sold both watches. I also have an Alpinist that looks very much like the one in the story. It’s been great. It will be a long time before I pick up another watch with any variant of the powermatic 80 movement

@@harveymanfrantinsingin7373 I bought the PRX new, and it started acting up within 6 or so months. To be fair to Tissot, they repaired it under warranty. I bought the Mido used so I don't really know how long it lasted before developing helicopter rotor. I also have a Citizen Tsuyosa which is IMO a better all around watch than the PRX. The citizen suffers from a crappy clasp on the bracelet, but in pretty much every other way is equal to or better than the PRX, and I've never had a Citizen/Miyota movement go bad like that. Both the Mido and the PRX were great to look at and wear, but that Powermatic80 (or whatever MIDO calls it when they use it) is a dealbreaker for me.

The Bulova Lunar Pilot is an amazing watch that, IMO, often doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Maybe it's looked down on for being a quartz watch, and I am certainly guilty of thinking that at one point. But the 262 kHz movement is an impressive piece of engineering. The second hand sweeps more smoothly than even a 36000 bph Seiko or Zenith movement, almost approaching Seiko Spring Drive level smoothness. The accuracy of ±10 seconds _per year_ is mind boggling. You can even easily adjust (using the pushers) the positioning of the central seconds and 1/10th second hands if it ever starts to go out of alignment. The 43mm version is still a fairly big watch, but will definitely work on a much larger range of wrist sizes than the original 45mm version. And it is all put together with better fit and finish than usually found in its price range. Overall, it's a much better "budget Speedmaster" than the _actual_ budget Speedmaster.

Firstly I am a Fan of Teddy and this channel but when I first saw this start to play out with the bracketing I thought it was going to be kind of hoakie. Wow! was I surprised, this has to be one of the hands down best ways to look at a group of watches. I love, love, love!!!! the bracketing, please let's see many more of these!

It's funny that in my last buy, I've had to chose between the Tissot Gentleman and a Seiko Cocktail time and they got matchup against. I've chosen the Gentleman for versatility and specs (and it delivers) but man that Cocktail time is gorgeous.

That may have been the hardest choice for me between those two

What a great idea for a video! Really appeals to me too, since my price range on watches is around $1,000 or less. Gives me a lot of good ideas for future watch purchases. Thanks!

Some of my favorites under 1K: Citizen Tsuyosa, Bulova lunar moon watch, Hamilton Khaki Field, and I like that Jorg Gray that Obama wore quite often.

I loved this show, great result. I am not a fan of the PRX but I can understand how it won. I was cheering for the Lunar Pilot and the Alpinist 💪🏻

When people are saying MAMACOO is a better option for buying a watch,I very much agree!

What is the strap on the Hamilton Khaki Field Auto? Would love to get one of that brown/tan strap.

I believe the way Mr Wonderful gushed over the Seiko Alpinist one year ago, stating if this was your first watch you couldn't find a better looking watch, might have swayed some opinion. It will be my next purchase!

I have been buying watches per Teddy's recommendation for a couple years now. I have been passing over the PRX multiple times, yet I still kept checking it out. I finally bought it with the light blue dial. Hamilton however, is my favorite.

Love this idea! Would love to see this at different price ranges or for different brands. Could also be cool to see it for different categories: dive watch, dress watch, etc.

The PRX is currently my favorite watch. I can wear it all day comfortably and love just glancing down at the dial and brushes integrated case!

This is crazy! The last two watches have been the two watches I've been eyeballing for the last 6 months or so. I've had some unforeseen bills come my way recently so haven't been able to pull the trigger. But I guess I'm not the only one interested in them!

You, Theo and Harris and Federico are my three watch channels. You seem honest and smart. Could you ever do a video or part of a video on the JLC Sector dial Master Control. So little info on these BEAUTIFUL watch and it might be my biggest watch purchase because I saw ONE article on Hoodinkee. It is so classy and pretty. Thanks.

It always amazes me how much beauty and precision are added to the parts of amzwatch's watch 99% of people will never see.

As a watch enthusiast with NO budget, thank you AMZWATCH for great-looking mechanical watches that I can afford! their are very clean, classy look, $150 each. I still watch videos about expensive “proper” watches, but I enjoy what I have

The alpinist is the most beautiful watch I've seen, and I'm continually looking for a watch that is more beautiful, but I don't know if it's possible.

Love it. I always thought the last two were my choices and of course I have the PRX so I expected it to win

I was gifted a PRX 35mm in navy blue (I have tiny wrists) for my college graduation last year and can’t speak highly enough about these watches! Very deserving #1 seed

This was awesome! You should do a whole series on different price points. I know it’s a slippery slope, but it would be fun to do a microbrand version of this as well.

I knew it and just had a feeling the Tissot PRX P80 was going to win 1st. I was correct. Just a really good watch in its own right. I love mine ❤️
