This is a great up and coming brand making very interesting and desirable watches. I certainly would want one, but can’t afford it. As for the brand’s recommendation to de-magnetize the watch once a year...couldn’t they of avoided all that by specifying a non-magnetic silicon hairspring like Omega, Patek etc..?

I think the reason may be that part of the movement is submerged in oil and sealed off from the rest of the movement (which is not submerged in oil). In order to allow the submerged and non-submerged components to mechanically communicate, magnets are used. I do not know whether or not the recommendation has to do with the balance wheel or these other magnets (or both).

The hand is a gentle nod to the place where the watch originates. Antwerp, Belgium. The Antwerp hand always been a logo in the city of Antwerp.

Can you explain why it's not a true second hand and they call it a "runner"?
@WatchesOnYou4 жыл бұрын
I believe it is probably because of the fact that the seconds disk is linked to the movement via magnetism (not via a gear). Thus, the movement is essentially dragging the disk using magnetism, which sometimes causes variability in the rotation rate of the disk (it appeared kind of choppy when we were reviewing the watch). Thank you for the comment!

I think it is because it moves 90 seconds in a minute instead of 60.

@@MrVorpalsword It's called a runner since its main purpose is to just let you know that the watch is running. It takes 90 seconds to go around once so it's not that useful as a seconds hand.

sorry Rich, I was just pointing up that the idea of changing the minute into 90 seconds would be somewhat outré, I've not seen those sorts of watches since the decimal day watches of the French revolution.
