They are portrayed as fascist only in Bethesda's Fallout 4, in Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas they are isolationists safekeeping pre-war technology, making sure it doesn't end up in the wrong hands. They would NEVER use squires as cannon fodder, because with how few and secluded the Brotherhood is, a squire is bound to be some scribe's/paladin's/elder's son, no amount of mental gymnastics can convince me that they would treat their own children as expendable meat shields.

Not having played games since 2000 shouldn't be a problem, Fallout came out in 1997 The problem with ghouls needing drugs to not become feral is manyfold. Who developed the drug immediately after the bombs fell as people ghoulified? It seems like they need a dose every few days so that's a week after the bombs fell someone had to develop it. Who manufactured the drug after the World ended? was it the same guy that developed it? How did it get spread across the states from west to east coast? Ghouls are supposed to simply age very very slowly and be immune/healed by radiation. They're not immune to bullets, they need to sleep / eat / drink same as humans. They are not zombies.

Cold fusion is fusion at low temperatures, though in this case low could mean 1000 degrees so it's only cold relative to normal fusion like the sun which generates its light and heat via fusion. In the real world while fission is used all over the world in nuclear reactors to generate energy fusion remains the domain of prototype reactors that have only ever generated more energy then they was to operate the reactor in a very very narrow essentially useless scientific sense. Cold fusion is interesting as an idea because if worthwhile fusion could be achieved at "low" temperatures it would be a much easier to design electrical generators with it and could potentially be used in smaller installations. Also fusion uses hydrogen, which can be trivially obtained from water, rather then uranium, or plutonium as fuel. Nuclear bombs use both fission and fusion. The early ones like fat man and little boy used fission alone. Modern nukes use a fission reaction(essentially a fission bomb) at their center to create a fusion reaction to create an even bigger explosions. In the fallout universe devices smaller then a care battery are used to power power armor. Whether these are cold fusion or hot fusion is unknown, they're just vague "fusion". Though they almost have to be not just cold fusion but room temperature fusion because otherwise the radiant heat from the fusion reaction should make them hotter then a blast furnace,
@bielperello6 ай бұрын
Agree. A simpler explanation could be: fission is splitting one heavy atom into two and getting lots of energy/heat and lots of radiation. Fussion is kind of the opposite and is what happens inside the sun and inside thermonuclear bombs/H-bombs. Trough insane amounts of pressure a couple of atoms join together and become a single, heavier atom (in this case helium), thus releasing lots of energy but no dangerous radiation at all.

You do realize that all the good will you guys had is utterly gone now right? That your are thought lesser than Ubisoft and EA? At max on par with them? You went from the kings of the single player rpg open world to the laughing stock of the industry. Slapping on the Canon label is moronic even if the show was as good as Breaking Bad or early GOT. Why hitch your wagon as a game developer studio to the reception of a show? Oh I know why! What is gonna happen is they will just casually not mention the ghoul meds in there next game and make it on the east coast again. That way they can just ignore all the damage they did to world of the western USA crafted by Black Isle and Obsidian with love and care because fuck them I guess. Why did they not use the east coast like they did for 3 games now? That would of softened the blow of any lore inconsistency better and they could of made up whatever nonsense factions they wanted. Which is the whole reason they set the games in the east to begin with. I guess Bethesda got tired of being told there fallout games are trash compared to New Vegas and decided to drag down Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas with them. The best solution before they regret this decision is just to say it is not Canon. Let this just be a fan fic that my dad can watch after a long week of work and just wants to sit down with a beer and turn his brain off. In fallout 2, bottlecaps were phased out for the NCR's currency which was backed by gold. When Bethesda took over, bottlecaps came back in Fallout 3 with no explanation, it's just because it's a part of Fallout that everyone knows about. In New Vegas, it's because the Mojave isn't officially in the NCR's grasp yet, and most of the population are still unsure as to who will take over the Mojave, which is why the NCR and the Legion both have their forms of currency in the game, as both factions are competing over the region. The original idea behind Vault-Tec was that they were an arm of the Enclave which was the Shadow government of the United States. The idea was that the Enclave knew the world was doomed and they planned to use space ships to fly to other planets. Most of the Vaults were subjected to various social and scientific experiments. All so the Enclave can determine the ideal conditions for people to take on a multi-generational journey through space. The most egregious thing this show has done for me is the "implication" (emphasis on that word) that Vault-Tec dropped the bombs themselves. Apart from the obvious smoothbrain comment of "factions bad for future generations so let's destroy any semblance of a normal future" bullshit, it represents what I think is the ignorance of this show towards what Fallout was all about. There's a reason why the Great War was always talked about in nebulous fashion. "Who Dropped the Bombs First?" is a fun headcannon exercise, but it was kept vague purely because it was irrelevant to the world you were living in Fallout. What happened in October 23, 2076 was no war, where winners benefitted and losers were humbled. Everyone lost the war, from the US government, to the people, to RobCo, to the circles that will eventually form the Enclave, and even to Vault-Tec. Nobody wanted the nuclear apocalypse, but they sure as hell weren't going to appear weak and consolidating to their foreign enemies. And so the world died not because of human malice, but because of human failure. Paranoia, dysfunction, complacency and sheer hubris made the ultimate mistake, not because some shadow group saw fit to bring annihilation for their own ambitions. In that context, the lore of Fallout takes on a very tragic element. The idea of a world brought to destruction when everyone thought that they were doing what they did for an honorable cause. It made factions like the Brotherhood in 4, the Enclave in 2, the Master in 1, and the Legion more complex than just malevolent actors in the wasteland. When you hear a faction say that the wasteland is a perverted disease that needs to be cleansed by any means necessary for the betterment of all (Synths for the BoS, muties for the Enclave, genetic weaknesses of humanity for the Master, and the weaknesses of individualism and democracy for the Legion), and you saw all the suffering and dilapidation of the more moral factions, who are we to say no to that assessment? This is the wasteland now. Anything that can get us back to even decent living standards is on the table, even if it means blood. Everyone is working towards bringing normalcy back, it's just that this endeavor is easier said than done and many others have their own version of this restoration. War may never change, but people do - through the roads they walk. And what we witness as players in Fallout are these new people after the war, trying to build back a broken world when they themselves are broken people, all hanging on a dream of something greater. Removing that nuance, making it seem that Vault-Tec just wanted to make the world their own, cheapens the message of this franchise so much. The bombs were never a mistake that the Old World was too late to avoid, it was an orchestrated attempt for some dickheads in suits to play god. What little civilization remains aren't building humanity out the rubble with unique perspectives and approaches, it's just part of the long-standing beef of megalomaniacal company drones and the psychotic messiah Maldover and her selfless goal of providing free energy to a *fucking wasteland!* No depth, no profound analysis to the nature of man and the societies they form under their circumstances. Nope. Just bad people are bad, good people are good even when they do bad, and everything is just about who gets to see their ideological social experiment come to life. Hopefully the good people. Just... not good. Again, it's just implied. But good lord, is entertaining that idea makes this franchise just about 1950s nostalgia and edgelord writing.

The idea of ghouls needing some sort of serum to stay cognizant and if they miss a couple of doses it's game over 100% of the time cannot work at all independently of the fact that this never existed in the games or was even hinted at before the show. Here is why : There were no ghouls before the war. We know from a side quest in fallout 4 that in the commonwealth at least there was a singular research project that was working on the potential effects of heavy radiation on humans. That's how Eddie Winter notorious criminal managed to be turned into a ghoul before the bombs and lived in a bunker for 200 years waiting for the commotion to die down so he could go grab his ill gained money. Let's say that even though we never heard of it before they had also been working on the cure, low probability as they didn't even know for sure what radiation would do but ok. Let's say that with a single test subject they managed to perfect the cure, this was a prototype.It wasn't available anywhere and the formula was located in one single research lab in the commonwealth. How would the ghouls that were made by the initial blast of the bombs still be cognizant 200+ years later if they had 0 access to the drug ? There is a vault that was left open on purpose to test large scale radiation poisoning on the residents and they all turned into ghouls, most were cognizant and not feral, they didn't have the drug. There are many other examples of non feral ghouls that were created by the nukes that are still perfectly sane 200 + years but the best example would be the kid in the fridge. In fallout 4 we stumble across a kid stuck in a fridge, it happens to be a child who hid in the fridge when the bombs fell got stuck in there for 200 years and turned into a ghoul. He obviously didn't have access to the drug and is perfectly fine. But even without those prewar ghouls as an example how could all the regions of the US we've seen in the games manage to create enough serum for all the non feral ghouls we see around ? There have to be tens of thousands if not more needing each 1 dose a day and we're in a wasteland with very limited resources, power and water, how could they manufacture enough for every sane ghoul out there ? This trope would work if there were a dozen or so sane ghouls in the whole of the US, not with how many there are in the games.

The writing it terribad and all over the place. Just a few things I noticed: Why do the Vault 33 people get to see the Vault 32 people every few years, but have *never* seen anyone from Vault 31 except their 'elected leaders' (and Stephanie Harper for some reason), and not at all find that suspicious or at least weird? Why was Stephanie Harper unfrozen in 31 to join 33, when she is shown turning wrenches with Lucy instead of having a leadership role like the others from Vault 31? Why is the one guardian of Vault 31 a Roomba that can be defeated by janitorial equipment, when large articulated robots are common household appliances? Vault-Tec could surely afford far better than this pathetic thing. How did Moldaver survive 200+ years? Why is this not explained? If she were still alive, I would assume it would be answered in Season 2, but well... it seems less pressing for the writers to answer once she is gone, so it seems very much like an oversight. Why did Moldaver go through Vault 32 to get to 33, when she could have just gone directly to 33? After all, that is where her objective was (and she knew that, as she had met him). She also had Roses Pip-Boy, which was from Vault 33, and would have granted easy access. Why did Moldaver raid Vault 33 and thus risk killing the target (Dad) as well as Lucy, Roses daughter. Rose was her dear friend, if we are to believe her. Why did Moldaver kill a bunch of people at Vault 33, then threaten either Lucy or the remaining Vault dwellers, make Dad choose between them, and then just leave instead of killing any of them? She had already caused the death of so many innocents, what would a few more have mattered?

I swear the first and last episode were from entirely different drafts, it's so bonkers. And yes, it's incredibly weird for there not to be a bunch of robots in Vault 31; they were common in vaults. Like, what happens if there's, I dunno, an earthquake (I'm pretty sure LA had one or two of those in the past) and they need to repaid some pipes and stuff? Why the hell wouldn't you have entire rooms full of Mr Handys at the very least? And if you want these folks to take over the surface and manage it, wouldn't you also give them some combat robots to deal with any threats?

Here's a musing. Before the show, the airship was apparently named the Caswennan (another word for Prydwen in Arthurian lore) in a Vanity Fair exclusive about the show. So, people rightfully assumed we were seeing a united BoS and that the eastern BoS gave them schematics and materials to build their own. Then the show drops and it's the Prydwen, it's called the Prydwen, and it has Prydwen stenciled on the side. Obviously, that confirms some Fallout 4 endings but meh, I'm just wondering more if the Caswennan thing was misdirection for this heckin' cool facterino, or if it WAS the Caswennan and was changed before release

Ugh. The ghoul change does not make any sense, even if we ignore the lore; where the hell did this medicine come from? Who invented it? How does it get made? Why is the source two organ harvesters in a random grocery store with no guards? How does it get distributed? Are there random organ harvesting med producers the world over producing this stuff or are all ghouls feral except for the few in this immediate area who can get vials from these guys? Ghouls were already interesting; they were exceedingly long-lived and healed by radiation, but it's sort of a living death as their joints and mind still degrade over time, their skin sloughing off, looking and smelling horrific. Making them pretty much superior to humans in every way except how they look was a dumb idea, and then throwing in this hackneyed weakness of needing daily medicine to survive was just a stupid way to limit an OP character. It doesn't even add anything except to detail the main plot for two characters for a while.

Fate absolutely bends over backwards for Lucy, just with a dose of shock content thrown on top. Big, strong, violent killer with a huge knife attacks her? There's a bottle for her to hit him with, and the bottle even breaks in an impossible way to leave her with a weapon to further wound him. And this is after her geiger counter just turns itself on to warn her that he's more radioactive than a Glowing One. That guy comes after her again later? Bailed out by dad. Being targeted by a merciless bounty hunter? A literal knight in shining armor appears out of nowhere to save her (after Cooper fails to kill her numerous times when he actually had the chance). Gets her finger cut off? Replaced a few minutes later. Radiation sickness? Runs into a guy who heals her a few minutes later. Attacked by a Mr Handy WHILE strapped to a gurney? Gets out and disables it in seconds. Then reprograms the robot, even though it doesn't appear that she's ever even seen one before, and arms it with a makeshift projectile weapon to fight her way out. Releases ferals? They all get killed by others except one, who she insta-kills in one shot to the shoulder, despite the fact that the show has already shown us ghouls are immune to bullets if they aren't headshots. Being hunted by a scientist guy with a harpoon gun (the natural weapon for a scientist apparently)? Convenient jar of acid just sitting there for her to throw at him. Gets caught anyway and is being sentenced to death? Psyche, she's just being asked to leave. If I recall, the scientist actually takes out a radroach coming for her while she slept in the first episode too. And she manages to not get hurt by either side during the war at the end. While there are some horrific scenes with Lucy, they never matter; physical threats are always neutralized, physical damage is reversed, and emotional trauma only affects her for like 30 seconds and then she resets right back to a bubbly, naive fish-out-of-water. Also, her tag skills are guns, melee, unarmed, survival, science, and repair, so she's clearly cheating!

So buying the cold fusion tech and not developing it pre-war makes total sense. If cold fusion is invented then all reasons to go to war stop and they can't sell vaults anymore. However that's short term strategy because the immense energy they could make with cold fusion would also grant them a huge productivity in many other sectors and until someone else manages to develop the same also would grant them monopoly of the power source. But even if they were actually that short sighted, post bombs it would make sense to develop the cold fusion to help with the rebuilding once they decide to open the vaults and repopulate.And having that amount of energy at their disposal would make them as powerful as gods in the wasteland
@billjacobs5216 ай бұрын
Thing is, if Vault-Tec ONLY dealt in Vaults, that might make sense; but the show explicitly tells us that VT is a trillion-dollar company, an absolutely gargantuan company involved in literally everything--why the flaming hell would they continue to pay for normal electricity instead of using the infinite, nearly free energy they just bought? It would lower the costs of all their business.
@JezaGaia6 ай бұрын
@@billjacobs521 Well sure only they were planning on nuking the world so they wouldn't need any big energy source until they "reclaimed" the surface. Except in the vaults but if they equip the vaults with cold fusion energy then the charade is over because that means the war was not needed anymore and the vault dwellers might wise up to the machinations of the corporation. So best to shelve it until they reclaim the surface based on their crazy scheme. And don't get me wrong l’m not saying it's smart at all. Just that based on what they had planned it can make some sort of sense in a very short term way. Much smarter to make the tech and use it to be the most powerful corporation on earth because you're the one selling limitless energy to everyone and stopped the war by making uranium irrelevant for power production.

So when Lucy asks for a team to go retrieve her dad nobody in any of the 3 vaults know why they were attacked or by whom so they wouldn't think it's a threat to their monopoly on civilization. Also even if they decided to go get hank they would never send a couple of people from vault 33 to do so because it would expose them to the outside world and they would discover the truth at least so far as to the wasteland not being completely desolated and in need of saviors. They might also, like Lucy did, stumble upon other vaults and discover some truths about Vault Tec. So it would make sense to send some of the frozen management guys or maybe they have contacts outside the vault with some team they could send. Might be that Hank wasn't alone when he went for his kids ? This is purely me , nothing int he show indicates vault tec has any topside teams or other contacts to help them mind you but it could make sense. But it they don't the things that makes the most sense is to send people from 31. Maybe if Stephanie had not been pregnant and wounded they could have agreed to pacify Lucy and sent Stephanie with any other vault 31 person, might be another one we don't know about in 33 or they unfreeze 1 from 31 and say they sent help. But then I doubt Lucy would have been happy not being chosen to go so ....

I haven't seen a piece of media so hellbent on destroying the original source material since Highlander: The Source. I'm adamant in my belief that they wrote California into the shape it is in the show because Emil is still butthurt over Fallout: New Vegas' upstaging him in every way. So many little things they get wrong have lasting impact that ruins the whole series. For example: The location of Shady Sands (and it even being called that; it is the FORMER name of the NCR capital! This was true as far back as Fallout 2.) is wrong. It should be further north, closer to San Francisco. It should NOT be in Los Angeles, as that is where the LA Boneyard is supposed to be (and isn't in this TV show, which ruins the lore of the Children of the Cathedral, the Unity, the Followers of the Apocalypse, and Caesar's Legion if the Boneyard has been retconned out.) The serum ghouls have to take daily is a retcon that ruins the ghoul lore in every Fallout game. Not only do none of the ghouls in any game have or use this serum, but some of them would not have had any access to it for days or even years! (Woody in Fallout 2 is sleeping inside a Sarcophagus in The Den with Ananias claiming him to be a genuine mummy from Egypt and charging people to see him, Raul Tejada in New Vegas is being held prisoner by Tabitha in Black Mountain, and Billy Peabody from Fallout 4 is trapped in a refrigerator for 210 years. Even Cooper Howard had no access to this serum being buried underground for as long as he was, and he's from the TV show!)

So imagine you had a fire detector you have to manually turn on and off when you cook, and if something catches fire when you're asleep you just die I guess. That makes more sense that what you are proposing. Gieger counters RIGHT NOW are perfectly capable of essentially passive operation, its just a tube with a voltage applied to it and very simple electronics, and their entire value lies in the fact that radiation is invisible and odorless, thus you can't know to check for it unless you're already aware of radiation in the area... which you can only know by using a radiation detector in the first place. You'd also think checking anything that comes from outside for radiation would be standard procedure considering Lucy instantly makes the connection that radioactive man= raider.

I think there are other possible explanations : I think any inquisitive person would be very curious about the famous vault 31 that's said to have better resources and sometimes sends people over but never takes anyone in contrary to 33. They might also get suspicious when putting 2 and 2 together and seeing that vault 31 people always are in charge. Talking with exchange people from 33 they might discover it's in fact the same there. It would also make sense that Vault 31 people being prewar and not real vault dwellers having grown up in the vault would have some strange behaviors, miss some cultural clues or not know some basic realities of life in a vault. Once suspicion is aroused who knows what happened. You could imagine that person getting close to the overseer or any other vault 31 person and manage to get some information that way. There might even be some documents, some 31 person not too smart who writes a journal or something. From there you can imagine blackmail to get the truth or maybe they simply get to a conclusion on their own, conclusion that can be close to the truth or even completely mistaken but still put vault tech and/or 31 in a very bad light. Another possibility would be someone from 31 feeling guilty about what happened or maybe they're unhappy for whatever reason, they wanted a better role, they wanted to be left in stasis until vault tech had regained control of the wasteland and not be stuck in a vault or whatever other reason you can imagine and they tall the truth either to alleviate their guilt or to seek revenge. The fights could be explained by a group refusing to believe and defending vault tech/31 while another group is outraged trying to get to 31 to have it out. Maybe even some just want the truth and go to 31 for some answers. As you can see there are many ways to explain why 32 rebelled without including an outside source. Also if the 3 annual exchanges have been going on since the vaults were created the schedules have to be very well established. It's perfectly possible that Moldaven knew when one would take place and used that window of opportunity thinking to subdue or kill 32 just before the exchange and use that as an opportunity to enter 33. Of course why she would need such a convoluted plan is very strange but maybe using Rose's pipboy to enter 33 directly might have raised an alarm because she was from there and is supposed to be dead ? Maybe she hoped 32 would be easier to get into ?

I thought that, maybe, it was a landfill that people started living in, since it was full of scraps to use, and so became "Filly." I don't think that's int he show, that's just me guessing.

One thing that I believe is worth pointing out with Maximus is that he is not trained or experienced in the use of power armor. He appears to have a great deal of classroom knowledge about it but no practical knowledge. This is because he is still an aspirant, another oddity of the show that adults have not been segregated into squires and clerics to train in the specific roles they will perform. It would be as if a person who had only read the manuals for firearms but had never touched one was handed an M249 and a belt of ammunition and told to load it and suppress the enemy. Most likely we would see something similar to what we see with Maximus, limited success due to the nature of the tool being used but a far cry of a competent performance.
@samwellcheck5626 ай бұрын
... except that Titus was also utterly incompetent in it. And they retconned the armor into having not one but TWO catastrophic flaws (the one the show is aware of and the fact that any rando can pull out the fusion core and completely disable you) that basically make it a liability more than an advantage. And he's not a medieval knight that needs to make constant, dexterous movements in combat, he just needs to be able to run and aim, but the show made him leave behind TWO perfectly good guns just so he can lose. Maximus not having experience with power armor isn't even in the first volume of problems with his and the Brotherhood's characterization.
@Turd_Rocket6 ай бұрын
That's quite a lot of mental gymnastics there. A simpler explanation is that the show is poorly written with bad worldbuilding and characterization. Fits better too.
@brettm13496 ай бұрын
There seems to be a misunderstanding of my comment so I will clarify. The show has bad writing and the characterization of the Brotherhood of Steel is incorrect whether you use the original or Bethesda continuity. However the point stands that with what is shown, Maximus not knowing how to properly use power armor makes sense. Also I believe I was incorrect in that the Brotherhood refers to mechanics and technicians as scribes not clerics.

@@brettm1349Yep. And not to mention that people like Knight Titus would never have made it to Knight in the actual Brotherhood, or the absence of Paladins among their ranks.

The vaults did have the "swat" armor in the games. Fallout 3 you see it on vault security.

Everything is wrong with this show, both from a technical filmmaking perspective and from a lore perspective. By the way the ghoul medicine is idiotic. Who is manufacturing ghoul medicine in this broken wasteland and has a transport network to make sure it is getting to the dispersed ghouls. It makes no sense.

Pretty sure it's also been said by the original writers that China dropped the first bombs. Now, it was sort of defensive, as the US was refusing peace and just kept invading into the Chinese heartland, so it's not like the US was just some innocent victim, but the whole point is that everyone was terrible and we have to suffer fo rit.

I really liked the show. I don’t care to nitpick it. I’m not sure why all the hate in a small corner of KZbin world. Good character development, great visuals, great backstory, great acting.

I understand. It's a long video. So are those all the reasons for why you like the show? You don't see any inconsistencies at all? You don't see a problem with how Moldaver's actions in episode 1 are never brought up by Lucy or her dad when she finally has a chance to confront her, the impetus for why Lucy left the vault? Tell me, what does the show want the viewer to think about Moldaver at the end of episode 8? The soundtrack and the characters seem to forget that she's a villain. Does it make sense for Lucy to slowly build up trust issues after several bad encounters with people in the wasteland, and not right after her home was attacked, her father was kidnapped, and she got raped by deception? You don't understand why Bud sealing Norm in with him essentially gave Norm complete control and power over his situation, and why maybe Bud should have sealed that door before Norm could walk through it? He just has to threaten to destroy the pods, or drop Bud upside-down on his dome, repeatedly. You don't see how some scenes and payoffs are ruined by power armor being arbitrarily weakened to allow those scenes and payoffs to happen, compared to other scenes? Like when Maximus throws a hunk of rock miles away, crushes a man's skull with his power armor, the same armor Titus runs away from a yao guai in, despite the fact that as a Knight he should know what he's capable of when wearing it? Like punching the jaw off of a yao guai? The show just forgets things that it established in order to progress with a different conflicting premises about characters, events, and behavior of things in the world (like power armor). The raid on the vault could have failed before it even began, if the geiger counters in everybody's pipboys had behaved like Lucy's does after she goes to the surface, and not merely when it is convenient to the script. There are no nitpicks in there, these are all things that break scenes or the entire show.

It’s just seems like nothing can be fun anymore it’s always something with these people the get a hole series made by people that actually like fallout and are fans and they just pull it apart because they don’t like changes to a 27 year old game series like yeah they have to change stuff and make the tone more interesting to the normies
@AdrianFahrenheitTepes6 ай бұрын
My feeling is that you don’t have to keep following a series forever. I mean even if someone doesn’t like Fallout now, Wasteland, the inspiration behind Fallout, got two sequels by this point. One doesn’t have to continue the same IP indefinitely. I would know, I have done it with a number of franchises and tried something else.
@IdleDrifter6 ай бұрын
I don't care what the normies want. Changing things within a franchise to suit the tastes of the fictional wider audience makes it boring. The franchise loses what made it unique in the first place.
@Turd_Rocket6 ай бұрын
They don't have to change anything to make it more interesting to normies. You will never be able to form a rationally articulate argument to prove an established IP with a living and invested fanbase needs to be changed. That notion is purely nonsensical. All that said of course, they already have changed Fallout to make it more interesting to normies; it's called Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76. So the show was late on the draw. (Yes, I include New Vegas with the rest of the trash)
