Peter looking forward to your results. I’m over here in New Brunswick on the Bay of Fundy coast. As a second year bee keeper I know have 5 hives/ Queens. The original queen from last year. Two of her daughters and 2 purchased queens. I have now completed my Formic Pro treatments on all 5 hives. Three new queens got the 14 day treatment with2 FP pads. Last years Queen and one of her daughters got 2 ten day treatments with 1 pad per. I staggered the 3 fourteen day treatments by 7 days. All queens are laying great patterns with eggs, and brood of all ages including capped. I’ll be doing a mite count in about 10 days. So far I’m very pleased with my Formic Pro results. Yes I believe my queens stopped laying for a short time as per NOD’s literature yes I believe I may have lost SOME brood as per NOD’s literature. If any of your viewers are considering using Formic Pro I would suggest they read all the publications regarding the application that NOD has provided. Like all products the engineering, testing and submissions have been done by NOD. It is not for ME a 12 month beekeeper to second guess or try and improve upon the science. Cheers love the channel, your videos are informative.

I just put mine on yesterday. Last night the hives looked like they had bee jackets. So glad I’m not the only one who has tipped a box. Not at all fun.

Ha Peter I am so glad you had on a suite. do not feel bad if everyone was honest out here every one has done that. Me I droped a hive and I did not have on a suite they tore me up. It was a very bad day for me. I enjoyed your vedio I used formic every year since I started keeping bees, I liked it. I decided to try something different oav 7 rounds just to see because it was cheeper, we shall see I know it was a hole lot more work, formic was easy and it worked. I also tried this year apigard, I like that to. amny way your video was good hope you have a very blessed week

Upsidedown brood box, huh. I know you guys drive on the wrong side of the road over there, but that's a little unorthodox.😂You're in good company though 😂 young Natalie from Missouri discovered a upsidedown super on a hive the other day 😂 nice of you to try turning it the right way up for those of us on the bottom of the planet. Lucky break, it could have been a disaster 😬 I'll be watching the formic pro treatment, I'll be honest, formic acid scares the piss out of me but I've got to help a hobbyist treat three hives that only got apiguard in January 😬 when he pulled a couple of supers at the end of the thyme nectar flow and I think the mite loads going to be through the roof.hopefully I'm wrong but I'm seriously considering formic for his hives. Great video 👍👋 sometimes things just don't quite go to plan in beekeeping, but nice save👍👋

I lost 50 percent of my queens using that formic pro and most of the emergency queen cells ended up getting superceded. Junk. Good luck getting queens in and settled in for winter this time of year.

I’ve used it every year and so far have been fortunate. It does set them back a bit, but it seems to me like the best option for the mite load at this time of year with all the brood.

@@slava790 2 . Followed the directions to a t after hearing all the rumblings. One formic pro package cost me a couple grand in revenue.

That was my experience this year too, losing about 1/2 my queens with Formic Pro. The highest temperature during use was 80F. The jury is still out on how the replacement (supersedure) queens do, but everything looks ok so far. I wouldn't call Formic Pro junk, but one does need to be aware of possible side effects. I wonder if part of the effectiveness of this product is due to the inevitable brood break.
