That scene at the end where Stillers character was complaining about movies today is because the original ending was that White and Globogym wins. The studio forced the director to change it because they didn't want audiences to be upset that the good guys didn't win.

I won’t lie I was also shocked when I saw how jacked Ben Stiller is. 😳 Edit: Fun fact Justin Long was really getting pelted with those dodge balls in that ball shooter. To the point Vince Vaughn decided to take one too at that speed. And Justin was basically concussed because of it.

Despite dodgeball often being portrayed as having no real rules, it does actually have some. A couple variations include being able to block incoming balls with another ball and catching rebounds before the ball hits the ground becomes a save on your side as well as an out for the person that threw the ball.

If you like Ben Stiller in this, you gotta check out Heavyweights. He plays almost the same character, health guru and everything, as he takes over a fat camp for teenage boys. Not quite as raunchy as Dodgeball but definitely a fun movie!

Something interesting about the the end credit when Ben’s character talks about the good guy winning and people wanting to be entertained. In the original ending planned and the ending shown to sample audiences, The Average Joe’s actually did lose. Like many movies after, the ending was changed because people in those sample audiences disliked the ending as it was shown.
