For my wedding in June my husband and I clipped the last instrumental part so that I could walk down the aisle to Duran Duran. The As the Lights Go Down version of the Chauffer is by far and away my absolute favorite.

For more DD live performances, I highly recommend "Save a Prayer" from the Secret Policeman's Third Ball in 1987, and "Wild Boys" from Working for the Skin Trade - Both happen to be the same year now that I think about it! If you haven't done it yet, there is also an INCREDIBLE performance of "Come Undone" from MTV Unplugged in 1994.

First of all, thank you for this video. I saw Duran Duran for the first time in 1984... I was in middle school. Seven and the Ragged Tiger Tour. Now I'm 52 😭 They have stood the test of time. I was so happy to drag my reluctant kids to see them in concert about 10 years ago! Oh and John is a Bass god and still hot!

I've literally seen them over a dozen times since 1987. Im a huge Duran Fan. Just seen them a month ago in Atlantic City. They put on an incredible show.

"Vertigo, Do the Demolition" is from their wonderful Notorious album. Saw them on that amazing 87 tour. This "All she wants is" is from their Electric Theater tour in 89. Smaller tour but great too. Loved Simon's hair on 87 and 89.

All she wants/planet earth..it s part of Big Live Thing Tour...the concert was recorded in Milan december 88...I was lucky enough to witness that show...Vertigo live version is a masterpiece!!

Love all these but especially The Chauffeur and Vertigo! I had to sing/record Vertigo as a B side. Sung and played Bass on it lol That Vertigo you’re watching was from the Strange Behavior tour 1987. Saw it three times. The song is from the Notorious album and the tour as after it as well. This was when Roger and Andy left and the first time Warren joined them in the studio and on tour. Steve Ferone came in on drums and he is incredible too.

I'd love it if you watched a vid Duran Duran "Save a prayer" live 1987, it's absolutely beautiful and probably the only time you'll appreciate a Duran song with no bass lol!

Think vertigo was one of my favourites off the notorious album - was never a huge fan of the skin trade tho tbh (something as a huge Duranie as i was would never admit at the time lol)😂
