I fully support you pointing out when the vocals aren’t perfect. It does happen and it’s important to not internalize that our faves are robots, or to not have demand/expectation that they are robots. And tbh we should expect imperfection when live performances are, well, live, and many things are factoring into vocals, such as breath/dance and nerves. Anyway! I do want to add, tho, that I also fully encourage you to pause as often as you like, especially to comment on and analyze vocals. There were several moments in this were you seemed really wow-ed or excuuuse-me’d and I thought “incoming vocal commentary” but it didn’t come lol 😅. You were probably just caught up in the performance tho I understand. But yea feel free to pause and unleash your knowledge wherever you feel like. You could go back after it ends to parts you liked or didn’t like and talk about them.

Thank you for being honest and pointing out their vocals. Usually EXO will sing with MR but with mic open since their music is really hard and requires a lot of harmonization which they can't do if they will just sing in minus one. Can't wait for you to react to their other live performances! This is just their teaser haha and they have so much more good stuff. Why is Baekhyun is my fav vocalist and artist overall: his capabilies are insane he can do everything in mixed zone (just watch Garden in the air cover, listen to Bungee, Underwater and so on) he can easily go to the higher range than lower. His lower register really sounds sooo good too (Love again song for example) his stable voice during dancing. He is the most stable member. Even while dancing SuperM's tough choreo he hit perfect G5 note, dancing hard before) he attends vocal lessons till deep night, that's why I admire him a lot. He said it's important to be stable while dancing, plus he is taking care of his throat as his wish is to sing for a long time. Plus what to try new things Genre? He kills every genre. His two mini albums "City lights" and "Delight" are Rnb albums. It's his genre. But he also kills ballads, sang osts with this genre and it was perfect. Sang pop jazz (Dream (collab with Suzy)), indie pop (Leo (collab with Bol4)) , more hiphop oriented (song- Young). There is more to this ofc. But I love his voice a lot and his dedication to what he is doing.

Also Sir, Baby Baekhyun and Baby Kyungsoo sounded really "similar" when they were still in their early debut days and albums. My friend would test me who's singing a particular line and I sometimes interchange Baekhyun and Kyungsoo's voices. HAHAHAHA. Now Baekhyun has his own distinct voice that differentiates his vocals from Kyungsoo, and he's also still attending vocal lessons with his teacher. What a persistent guy! :D

Kyungsoo and Baek have a similar range, Baekhyun and Chen are in charge of the high notes, mostly Chen. Kyungsoo is that one main vocals who fills up the missing notes in Chen's and Baek's. Because of Kyungsoo's stable low notes compared to Baek, he is in charge of the low notes then Baek for mid and Chen for High. And because Chen and Baek do the high notes and belting, Kyungsoo focused on adlibs, runs and riffs. His runs are more precise than ChenBaek. Kyungsoo wouldn't be called as RnB prince for nothing. That's the thing about SM, they enhanced your range and teach you how to properly use it. That's why SM is known for its powerful and best vocalists in the entire Kpop. And Exo is Sm's masterpiece. They put all the good-looking, best singers, best dancer and best rapper in a group. And individually multi talented people.

I’m so happy you reacted to their performance of Wolf, this is honestly such a strange song and one good thing about the remix version is that it makes the song more bereable (to me at last) xD I’m not a fan of it, but i enjoy this one more than the studio version. Even other kpop idols singers look up to Baek and Chen so when it comes to singing he is just on another level He can DANCE! he is mostly the first member to memorize choreographies among Exo members he has improved in dancing so much that now we can count him in dance line too and he is starting to get his solo dancing moments He can RAP! He surprised everyone with his rapping in Exo-CBX Horololo like the boy is Killin the rap part He can perform! Kai and Baekhyun are considered best performers from Exo and in kpop general the way he is the cutest off stage he get intense, flirty, naughty, serious, sexy and dangerous on stage he can carry whole stage alone too He has a great humor and personality! Nobody's perfect and yes Baek was flat at the beginning of that adlib but it's okay.. i admire how much hard work and thought EXO put in their live performances ! They always try to do something new.. it might be a surprise performance or a solo/unit stage by one or few of the members, and it could be a remix (like in this case) I hope you'll enjoy their live performances as much as we do ! TMI : Baekhyun is outspoken and very honest.. he may seem like a goofball (which he is) but he's a very thoughtful and kind person.. you'll start noticing that eventually.. what i wanted to say is that Baek HATES lipsyncing and he's known for wanting his voice to be loud and clear during live performances (even if he ends up making mistakes) also he's not too fond of comeback stages because companies like Mn3t always use loud backing track and lower the mic volume of the artist to the point where they can't hear themselves

i agree about imperfections being good. one of my fave live live exo performances is monster from their elyxion seoul concert in 2017. it's right at the end of 3.5 hour concert, they're visibly exhausted and post production has done little to nothing to help them out. the mic levels aren't even levelled so one isn't louder than someone else and you can hear them breathing hard into the mics. but despite all of that they still sound really good. it's such a strong statement about where they were at the point in their career and the vast experience gained in touring pretty much non-stop since 2014. i don't know i'm rambling, but just thought it was cool and maybe at some point you'd be interested in watching.

Wolf is the 3rd songs. After Mama and monster. It's very understandable if Baek missed a note there. They were out of breath already since they danced alot in the two previous songs. It's literally not easy to be stable all the time. Baek has improved a lot (other members as well) . He still takes vocal lesson to give the best. I legit got Baek and Kyungsoo voice mixed up when I first started stanning EXO but now I know whose singing by my eyes closed hehe. You'll get there sir

Oh, thank you for heeding us to check on Wolf Remix live perf, truly EXO's live performances are way way better than their studio version, this is just one song out of 20-30 songs they perform everytime they're having a concert which usually lasts 2-3hours. Some reactors sometimes don't like certain songs in the album when they did an album listening party but when they watched the live performance of that song, they feel differently and somehow love the song.

Four of their five concert tours have live albums available on different music platforms. This tour has one too, Exordium/Exo planet 3. You can find the audio for these performances there❤️ One thing I like about the exo choreographies is that during some of the vocally challenging parts or the highlight high notes, they don't make the singer dance. The other members dance while one or two people just stand and sing the parts. It happened here with Chen and Baekhyun and once with D.O. I really appreciate that.
