The water isn't discoloured for the reason you're thinking. It's actually from the house's old galvanized plumbing being clogged full of rust. This is also why the pressure is so low and there's heaps of water hammer whenever someone opens a faucet.

It’s always fun to see which point someone will get suspicious of that twist, and when they’ll finally be convinced of it, or if it will take until it’s actually said. It can vary pretty wildly for different viewers. It has been a while since I’ve done this, but my maximum normally functioning limit seems to be about 50 to 55 hours, then it starts to rapidly go downhill. After 60 hours, every step feels like the ground is made of marshmallow, and it just gets worse from there.

@@wadumin Oh, you're not wrong there! It's not something I would do regularly, and wasn't even really intentional for testing. Just from my experience with a few convention weekends, years and years back. I was more habitually nocturnal, but would still have to be awake for what was going on during the day (not exactly actual insomnia, but similar). Like I said, it has been a while. I'm not sure it would even be possible for me now.

@@0okaminoif you are normally nocturnal, as I am, it could be 'delayed sleep phase disorder' (dspd) which is generic and goes back to neolithic times! There isn't a cure, just who you are. It may come with insomnia, which is a bitch, but that is hard after a couple of days. People don't understand if they're 9-5 and I can't tell the difference between morning and dusk.

Random trivia: the scene where Ed Norton's character hits Tyler for the first time, it was not scripted that he hit Tyler in the ear. That was director David Fincher's idea, he told Norton to punch him in the ear, without telling Brad Pitt. That's why Pitt says "HE hit me in the ear", not "You hit me in the ear".

I saw the bird pointing a gun at me (4:02) 😱😇 There are some things that are quite hard to understand about this movie. First - it has a pure romantic ending. But who can understand romantic atmosphere when the main character has a hole in his throat and skyscraper are collapsing around you 😀 Second - this movie is a deep critique about our society on almost every level. In fact this movie reflects more about our "simulated" worlds than The Matrix does (both were released in 1999). Our economy, our consumerism, our gender ideas that are partly taken from biology, our concepts about whats sane and whats insane and of course our silly ideas what "revolution" could do. Cause in the end... forced revolutions never do that much. And our whole existence is full of virtual crap we invent and that takes place only in our brains but does not exist in the real world. Just imagine what a speaking dog would tell us what he does not see: Borderlines, money, fashion, etc etc. Third - the book this movie is based on contained all the elements of the movie and also seemed to be very critical ... but... in my opinion the story works much better when its visualized. This is one of the rare movies that is at least as good as the book - because of the absurdly well done visualization, sound editing, acting and use of special effects... I do think the movie is even better than a book could ever be. In the end this movie does what every media art does that tries to trigger people and wants to make them aware of complex issues in our society: Not that much. Its kind of weird that the movie is the critique of what it exactly is on a meta level: Its just a product that is sold to make money and entertain people for 2 hours. Thats kinda it. We are a a very weird species and dont know how to deal with our potential of intelligence. So we invent so much shit... that in the end only a crazy guy with sort of schizophrenia can become a revolutionist. Which makes you deeply ask what sort of people Che Guevara, Washington and Ghandi really have been. Probably... somehow insane, too? Who knows. Thanks like always for your reaction. And the next time let the bird shoot at the audience 😀

One of my favourite things about this movie is how people watch Tyler create a terrorist organisation, create violence and death and desctruction, and go "hm, he has a point!" - I'm amazed that it's possible to miss that Tyler is the villain that the main character has to overcome. @@nordiskkatt idk my reply just got removed but I'd just say that Tyler is no where a toxic masculinity case he is just insane clinically a toxic masculine person would be some one like Andrew shit it's just about how consumerism is something that makes you miserable and there's nothing you can do about it and also that in order to be free your don't have to become someone else (we can see in the climax that when Tyler dies that's when mc really becomes free in a true sense )

@@alkaifahmad5584 I agree with you about the anti-consumerist message, for sure! I do find that "man has mental issues and deals with it by not dealing with it, and by choosing to be violent instead of sad and scared and lonely" is pretty toxic, but I suppose it's a matter of interpretation. Thanks for explaining your point of view!

There is a very good video essay/analysis on the philosophy of this film. The video is titled "Fight Club and Nietzsche: Overcoming Emasculation", by a channel named 'Bob'.

This song and DISCIPLE (even more so) are the litmus test for the fanbase, many of whom believe a group of non-American Gen Z young ladies are vessels for their right wing worldview.

Oh, you absolutely can call old public phones (well, not anymore, they're gone) each one would have an info-sticker (if it wasn't peeled off by vandals) and it'd have a phone number, or you could just re- on your own phone, after being called from a booth, which is what Tyler did (well, he didn't, but for different reasons) (There's even a movie about it, called Phonebooth, it's good!) Soundtrack is amazing btw, Dust Brothers / Pixies for the end cred song
