maybe it's just nostalgia from the old days of television, but i'm really loving the unexpected charm inherent to watching episodes out of order with little to no context. i also loved how you had only seen one or two episodes of gilmore girls before you had kirk's character completely figured out haha. i hope to you will continue with more gilmore girls and buffy episodes. keep up the great work!

Paris' critiques were valid but also WAY too granular. I mean, they said this was supposed to be "an authentic 19th century meal" but the costumes were all over the place--Jackson looked like Henry VIII!--and they were coached to give "old English" responses. The dramaturg in me is very, _very_ disappointed in them 😂

The crazy thing to me about Paris pointing out the anachronisms is that she's saying none of these things existed in the 19th century... Which is true but the century portrayed on screen isn't the 19th century to begin with. Even Suki says that they're using a 19th century menu, but what their portraying with the costumeing is closer to the 14th century. It drives me insane that they keep saying 19th century when that would be the 1800s aka the Victorian period... Like, who did the research for the script!?
