watching high school musical the musical the series for the first time

I lived and breathed high school musical... and i didn't think i was gonna watch the series but i did... and here's what i thought about it.

Am I the only one kinda triggered by her not liking that they look young? Like i honestly love that they actually have a cast of teenagers (and some young adults) playing teenagers for once, I just think it´s better than 28 year olds playing 16 year olds

Zac was 18 and Venessa was 17. Most of the others had similar ages. The actual cast were around their ages. Josh was 19, Matt as 20, Frankie was 19, and Olivia was 16 when it aired. Doesn't sound like a big difference to me. 🤷

@@cieralove7755 i think i didn't say what i meant clearly enough, sorry for that. i didn't mean that i don't like how they casted the original hsm movies, i think they were also a great fit age wise and with the "28 year olds playing 16 year olds" i wasn't referring to the original hsm cast but more teenage characters in movies and shows in general. i just thought it was nice that they had teens play characters that are actually their age and not older people like it's often done. also as you said the og cast was pretty young themselves and they looked young too so i just don't quite understand what the difference is to the cast of hsmtmts looking young. but that's just my opinion and since people are used to teens in movies looking older i understand why it could be weird to see rather young people play the parts

we do talk like that tho. and these characters aren't replacing the OG characters. They're only putting on a musical. no need to be so cruel. and it's refreshing to see actual high school aged kids playing high schoolers.

Honestly my favorite part was that they cast actual teens as teens. I think everyone in the main cast was like 17-21? As someone in high school, I appreciated it
