As someone with PTSD, when I saw this movie and saw that Joy is yeeting memories to the back of the head on the one way express to "we're not gonna think about that right now". I immedietly went "oh no no no no no that's not gonna end well. Not at all!" PTSD happens because of that very reason. Your brain is not capable of processing or handling the memories of what happened to you so you "forget" them until a time when your brain can't ignore it anymore & you will start having nightmares, flashbacks & panic attacks effectively resulting in your brain forcing you to process what happened.

Love this and love the Inside Out movies. Just as an FYI, the cartoon character with the pouch that you weren’t fond of is a reference to Dora the Explorer and her back pack which was extremely popular around the time Riley would have been 2/3 and all parents hated it so I think that bit is for us oldies 😅. I think the next movie should be Riley's first relationship at the same time as getting a summer job. I wanna see how imprinting and second-hand emotion works in this setup. Could have a bomber scene of Disgust and Anxiety arguing with Anger and Fear _in the OTHER person's head._ And really expand on how the Sense of Self can be sabotaged by a toxic boss, etc.

I like how, because Joy sent the puberty alarm into the back of the mind at the start of the movie, then caused a memory avalanche at the end of the movie *using* those memories at the back of the mind. Which then ended up into the belief system, that means the puberty alarm is now a part of Riley's beliefs. Not like in a "Good message" sort of I like how, but a "That's kind of funny to think about"

I really appreciate Disgust's new VA; she brings the same business-bitch energy as Mindy but is more warm and well-rounded. It's tricky to substitute an established cast member, and carry the character forward with your own energy _without_ undoing or breaking from the precedent that was set. She managed to expand Disgust without being _just_ a sound-alike or a jarring change. That's hard as fuck and I hope the new VA stays on for part 3, she earned that spot.
