So going by fan theory, this episode of Supernatural is what dragged actual ghosts and monsters into the Scooby universe. By Sam and Dean entering this episode of Scooby-Doo which is part of the original series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, it caused their universe to split into 2 time lines, the normal time line where all the monsters are just people in masks and a second time line that consists of all the shows where the monsters are real.

Oh ok! so like the two live action Scooby Doo movies with Buffy/Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Matthew Lillard is a result of that Like the timeline with real monsters not people in masks

When you asked about Supernatural's gore, my immediate thought was the episode 'Just My Imagination' (season 11 episode 8). Not a lot of people's favorite episode, but there's one moment with gore that is just~~~ A+, imo^.^

Indeed, my comment was about how the magic would work without the voice actors being present to record new lines (For their interaction with Dean and friends). Then I realized it was stupid to try and apply real logic to a magic show.

Definitely NOT the best episode of the show! The problem for me is that I'm Swedish! Scooby Doo never made the kind of impact in Sweden that he apparently did i the US and by the time he got here, I was old enough to just consider it a silly kids show. Watching this episode with hubby literally just made us both go "this is just pathetic, why would they do something this stupid with Supernatural, one of the worst episodes ever" And that's sad, in a way.

Its the most fun episode, not the best. I understand the mistake though. Scooby doo was big in Nigeria (Where I'm from), the show started in 1969. Must have taken a longgggggg time to reach Sweden then.

Idk, I'm pretty close to sweden and scooby was a big part of my childhood but it might be the age difference. It was a good episode and it's loved in the whole fandom. Of course there are better and more meaningful episodes but it was a great monster of the week episode that is enjoyable to watch out of context

if you want to see earlier work of jensen ackles i'd recommend watching dark angel (i'd say watch gill girl as a starter, since it's one of the more fun episodes, or pollo loco if you want to get sad, both are good features of jessica alba and jensen's work).
