My problem with this movie (a problem I had since I first watched it when I was 8) is how random it felt. The entire show was based on a regular girl, with regular problems. Yes, there were "weird" episodes, like the one where she dated Frankie Muniz, the one she became a model, and the one she snuck onto set with Aaron Carter. But mostly, the show was really "normal" and that was its charm. The movie is nothing like that, it's about a normal girl who gets manipulated by a rando in a foreign country and becomes famous. It would have been fine if it wasn't lizzie. But it was lizzie, so it just doesn't sit well with me.

I saw this film for the first time since I was nine in November when I found out that I would go to Rome and I was soooo excited and then I was like I will download it to watch it when I am on the plane to go to Italy. Surprise, surprise, I didn't get to go due to covid and now for no reason I am angry at this movie even though I used to love it .
