Hi Jonny, I don’t k know what to say about the video. It’s certainly a bit different! I have always enjoyed watching heavy equipment being moved. All the best from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺

Hey, do you remember when docks were rail served? imagine how much easier this operation would have been. So sad to see Britain's best ever carriages going overseas, especially when you consider that their replacements are uncomfortable, with an awful hard ride and they are unlikely to last as long as the carriages they replaced. On the other hand someone in Mexico has made a very good choice as did New Zealand Railways when they took a large number of ex BR Mk2's.

@@jonnytreehouse Hi, I enjoyed your video. I'm old enough to remember the days when most dock complexes were rail served. I spent many happy hours watching shunting engines at Birkenhead and Liverpool moving trucks on the quay side railways to enable cranes to easily load the cargo ships, most dock railways closed with the advent of container ports, although car transporter trains still run to the docks at Southampton. I am a little puzzled as to why these carriages were not loaded onto ships at one of the remaining rail served deep water ports. The Mk2's sent to New Zealand were extensively renovated, those used on the Auckland suburban services were fitted with sliding doors. The ones running out of Wellington to Palmerston North received little more than a repaint and an internal refurbish, the ones operating out of Wellington to the Wairarapa are still running today. Most of the MK2's have been retired now, but they gave more than twenty years service in New Zealand before being replaced. The first time I arrived in New Zealand I was more than a little surprised to so many ex BR carriages still carrying the liveries they carried in the UK waiting outside the workshops for their turn to be re-gauged and prepared for their new lives on KiwiRail. I might well take a trip to Mexico to see the HST's in action over there. Lucky Mexico in all fairness. I hadn’t to be honest, my focus has been on boats for the last year or so.

One thing for sure they won't be doing a 125 miles an hour on those railways again the Hotpoint super twins will be missed good trains replaced by 800 Hitachi junk, they won't last long,@@HSTHoward
