The Matrix Revolutions Movie Description:
In a dystopia overrun by robots, Neo (Keanu Reeves), mankind's greatest hope, is trapped in a limbo world. Meanwhile, the majority of the planet's population remains in a state of suspended virtual reality. The few humans who are cognizant of the grim realities of the world desperately try to hold off their mechanical enemies long enough for Neo to escape and save the day, but things turn disastrous when all-powerful computer program Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) arrives in the flesh.
The Matrix Revolutions is a 2003 American science fiction action film written and directed by the Wachowskis. It is the third installment in The Matrix film series, released six months following The Matrix Reloaded. The film stars Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving and Jada Pinkett Smith.
The film was released simultaneously in 108 territories on November 5, 2003, by Warner Bros. Pictures. While being the final entry in the original trilogy of the series, the Matrix storyline was continued in The Matrix Online video game. It was the first live-action feature film to be released in both regular and IMAX theaters at the same time. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film grossed $427.3 million worldwide. A fourth film, titled The Matrix Resurrections, began production in February 2020, and was released on December 22, 2021.

Like the Architect said in the previous film, "This will be the sixth time we have destroyed Zion. And we have become exceedingly good at it". The machines don't need a snitch when everything that happens is already planned for.

Best way to put it is that Neo was the only one of the "Ones" to change the Matrix's algorithm while the other 5 chose the same path. The previous 5 went to the source to save Zion and repeated the same mathematical problem over and over However Neo's attachment to the human race especially Trinity he was confident that with his power he can save Zion on his own terms. Only difference was the previous 5 never bargained with the machine overlord while Neo went to the source himself and made a deal with the machine overlord. That's why in the end the Architect agreed to keep the truce going and free those who want out. Neo truly ended the war while the others postponed it. Hope this answers any questions you or anyone has about the Matrix trilogy

The reason neo didn't let smith take over in the second movie is because he wasn't plugged into the source like he was in the final battle. That's the only reason smith got beat he hi-jacked neo while being attached directly to the source

Mell broke my heart with this trilogy because its one of my favorites. He wasn't paying attention to certain parts and misunderstood key plot points and it led him to think the trilogy sucked. :( I will admit though, Mell was 100% right to be disappointed with their defenses lol. It was badass fighting and cool ideas but realistically their defense strategies was stupid. Cool to look at tho.

Actually, these movies were released in the same year because they were intended to be one movie, but they recorded so much footage that it was too long to release as one film, so they split it in half. Otherwise, we'd have a 6 hour version of The Matrix Reloaded and there would be no Revolutions because it would just be the second half of Reloaded.

I always understood it to be three worlds. The real world, the Matrix, and the machine world. Programs are 'born' in the machine world, where everything needs to have a purpose. Sati didn't have a purpose, so she would be deleted. The only way to pass from the machine mainframe to the Matrix, where she can be safe, is through the train station, which is controlled by the Train Man. Neo could be overpowered there because it wasn't part of the other worlds, it was a bridge, with completely different rules.
@brianoconnell6459
@brianoconnell6459 2 жыл бұрын
For the bridge between the movies, you really reeeeeeeally need to review The Animatrix. A series of animated clips that cover the kid dropping the bullets, through the last flight of the Osiris, even through the video game in the early 00s before Matrix Reloaded.

Watch Animatrix. There are so few reactors doing it right now. Probably because you gotta figure out how to do the videos, 6 short stories with reaction in between, or each as a whole? Start with The Second Renaissance..a 2 parter... 30 minutes, much deeper than some of the others, plenty to remark on after. Yeah, this one was a bummer. I liked how it expands on the idea of programs as sorta refugees avoiding "the source" or basically deletion. That is all kinda interesting, but yeah, I wanted a sorta Inception Matrix thing, where "The Real World" was just another layer of control, to where "going to the source" meant rebooting the whole system. They kinda did that, but not really.

He didn't connect to it in the second movie because Trinity would have died....and all of Xion. In this movie he made a deal to let those people live. So this way definitely saved the lives of more people.

29:33 because neo wasn't connected to the source in the second movie. The reason why taking over neo caused the smiths to blow up was because while he was connected to the source it allowed the machines to delete smith's code. No, _Rev_ came out within a few months of _Rel_ because _Rel_ ended on such a heavy _cliff-hanger._ You see the same phenomenon between _Back to the Future II_ and _Back to the Future III._ The _original_ _Back to the Future_ came out in July, 1985, but part II didn't come along until November, 1989, a little over four years _later._ Part II, though, ended on a heavy cliff-hanger, which is why they rushed the release of part III, in May, 1990. Why would they make the American public wait a little more than four _years_ between the release of the original and the release of part II, but a little less than six _months_ between the release of part II and the release of part III?

@@coffeedrinker2973 Terminator was supposed to be the prequel to matrix and both story's were actually written by a black woman back in the 80's. Look it up. You're welcome.

Idk if u ever see this comment but I suggest to watch, in your own free time or react to it (dealer's choice), matpat film theory on the matrix concerning neo being not just the only chosen one and the gamble that Oracle was playing mentioned towards the end of the movie. It's worth a look.

Definitely my least favorite but Matrix Revolutions is still awesome and the final fight is awesome. The voice of Deus Ex Machina is voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson.

Actually Revolutions was a bit of a relief after Reloaded. It accepted its cheesy nature and had much less sophomoric pretentiousness.

The woman who played persephone is Monica Belluci . She mostly appeared like in controversial films like Malena.Irreversible and The Passion of The Christ.i recommend all of this except irreversible cause that one is hardcore. Oh and if you thought you disliked this one don't watch the new one,is your choice HOLIDAY MOVIES- DIE HARD HOME ALONE ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE EYES WIDE SHUT BLACK CHRISTMAS(1974) THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS KRAMPUS 100 🙏🏻. 27:02 "Do people, uh, _like_ this action scene?" I don't know who else I speak for, but _I_ don't. Neo and Agent Smith clashed in the _first_ one and it was an awesomely-choreographed, _Kung Fu_ sequence. They clashed in the _second_ and it was CGI _bullshit._ _Here,_ they're just ripping off _Dragon Ball Z._
@lazyperfectionist1
@lazyperfectionist1 2 жыл бұрын
28:15 Of course, all this business is _necessary_ in order to make Smith believe he has _won._ When fighting someone, you have to create a _big uproar_ in _one_ place to draw attention away from the _other_ which is the site of the actual _attack._

If it isn't too much trouble, you should check out The Insider (1999) with Al Pacino and Russell Crowe. It's a true story about a whistleblower in the tobacco industry. Also, Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral) directed it.

It's funny that you commented that the humans in Zion are bad at defense(they are, I mean come on, put a damn windshield on those mech suits at least, lol), but the machines are pretty bad at attacking too. Like, I know they have overwhelming numbers and consider their own guys expendable, but what if, after they drilled down into Zion, instead waves and waves of sentinels, they just dropped like an atom bomb down that hole. :P Or a chemical weapon. That fight would be over real quick, with minimal losses for the machines.
@coffeedrinker2973

they could have done that during the first zion attack in a previous matrix, but then how would they get neo to go through his hero path if there is no morpheus or zion? the machines knew where zion was the whole time, and how to win, you know because there has been zions before this zion, and if neo doesnt beat smith the machines will have to pay the price. this needs this, and this needs this.The Oracle: its a balancing act

You mentioned the rudimentary designs of the mechanized soldiers of Zion and the simple rockets that they used in weaponry well they didn't have the technology that the computers have because they're living underground using simple tools to put things together and still came up with these amazing inventions while I agree they should have shields on them would it really matter it would probably slow the soldiers down if they had more armor on them I think it's better that they're quicker in the sphere of Zion and The matrix
