the parasite, aka symbiote when bond properly is like venom. they share a body, even that venom's is slowly consuming him. as long he provides other human's organs for consumption with his healing powers eddie will live a long healthy life. the parasites when take over non compatible humans, are like the one in the begenning that totally takes over while consuming the body. once it has reach as long as it cans, discards the soon to be corpse and takes over another one. one is bonded, his "life partner" for explanation purposes. the other symbiote taking fully possesion is a not compatible match used as a transportation means. carnage is ANOTHER symbiote, that merged with a crazy killer played by woody harrelson. carnage kills for the sake of it, babies innocent people etc. even does abominations with clones of the symbiotes, monsters that turn people inside out when bonding so they die slowly and painfully both monster clone symbiote and innocent person overtaken. he is as bad as you can get with evil symbiotes.

To explane: all symbionts have some special power, among them just healing factor, super strength, constituent matter generation, all these are standard among them. The vast majority have special powers that make each one of them unique, Riot for example, the weapons he generates from his own body like axes and blades are much sharper and more resistant than the ones that Venom generates. So when Venom says he's a loser on his planet he means he's almost normal, as he doesn't do anything special or different from other symbiotes and because of that he is considered inferior by the others. It's an Evolutionary question

the character that appears in the post-credits scene is Cletus Kasady (better known as "Carnage), one of Marvel's most violent villains. When cletus was a child he killed his dog and his grandmother, and years later (when he became in Carnage) made a massacre in New York, so spiderman and venom had to team up to stop him

The fish tank scene was Tom Hardy's idea. Originally it was just there to establish that it was a fancy restaurant, but Tom took one look at it and said, "Yeah, so I'm gonna go in." They rigged the entire tank so he could do it safely, even going as far as to put in fake lobsters with marshmallow filling and chocolate sauce.

I love how Marvel Sony doesn't give a shit if they referenced a DC related character/thing in their movies. Eddie Brock saying "kryptonite" isn't the first time, Sam Raimi's Spiderman once referenced the name "Shazam!" when Peter was trying to activate his web shooters for the first time. Also the time when Aunt May was giving Peter a pep talk on keeping things calm and in order, "You're not Superman" he says to Peter who's having a crisis in his life.

I’ve hold off on watching this movie, but I just watched it like a day or two ago, and wow! Do I regret it! Tom Hardy executed this role so perfectly, the “friendship” between him and venom is so fun to watch, such a great movie, won’t be able to stop rewatching it.

The symbiotes are a race known as the Klyntar. They feed of the Adrenal glands. They particularly love the adrenaline from anger and rage. They enhance it’s host while lowering the host’s inhibitions and gain control of the host. Most symbiotes can forcibly take control of the host but, ultimately needs the host to embrace the bond. This was not Stan Lee’s last appearance. Stan’s last appearances were in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, Marvel Spider-Man (video game), Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame.

I mean, story-wise there's nothing special about it at all, I think what makes it truly special is the fact that this is the first time we really see Venom on the big screen properly (In Spiderman 3 he got no personality and barely any real screentime, and overtaken Peter was just a joke). But, even if it's a fairly simply structured movie, it really opens up bringing Venom into the MCU because he clearly works and is really loved. I understand why critics don't like it that much, because it's really not anything special, but it sure as heck is fanservice and we fans love it!

I could imagine many people didn't like it because they say it's "not close enough to the comics" (because people haven't figured out yet that it doesn't have to) just like when people don't like birds of prey (i know there's other reasons to not like birds of prey but that is mainly the reason for most people but i really like birds of prey)

Most of which ranging between completely stupid and a slightly positive meh, and maybe an absolute banger every once in a blue moon. If made by someone that has a large ego and/or Strawmans the people that didn't like it as racists, sexists, supremacists, yada yada we all know the rest, what was made would flop even harder than what it otherwise would have.

It's like a donor/recipient relationship. For full symbiosis, you need to be a perfect match. If it's not a match, at most all they'd be able to do is hitch a ride and maybe eat a few things to survive.

I LOVE how throughout the film they have Tom Hardy/ Eddie Brock in a sweat drenched shirt and looking like complete sh*t. There is none of the stereotypical “superhero rips off his shirt” so everyone has a chance to ogle him until the plot resumes crap lol 🙄 No unnecessary shirtless fight or shower scene. Just Tom Hardy looking like crap talking to himself, poetic cinema. Just awesome. ❤️ xxx

this movie is honestly a solid comic book action movie it defs has its issues like some of the CGI, the comedy could be jarring at times, and it felt like a rated R movie made PG-13 last minute but it's still a really fun watch with great action, horror elements, the more comic accurate elements like Venom's design and the lore of him being the "runt of the litter", and the relationship between him and Eddie

the reason why Venom is upset with the term "Parasite" is because a parasite in order to survive has to kill his victim, but he does not do that, in exchange of feeding venom,Eddie gets cool Superpowers, also, your videos are cool man!

Carnage is a red symbiote that attaches itself to a serial killer named Cletus Kasady, who we will be seening played by Woody Harrelson in Venom 2, which will be coming out in september, and of course Venom is one of my favorite Spiderman villains of all time, in the comics they teamed up to fight Carnage.

Now you get why most people really hate the Venom from Spider-Man 3. Among his most iconic traits are his massive muscular build, really deep voice, the super long tongue and the fact that he and Eddie refer to themselves as "we." All of those things are missing from that version of Venom. And yeah, Venom as a character started out as a villain, but later became a more heroic anti-hero.

I blame it on parasites being more or less evil and charting it up to will really, but I don't actually know Edit - Or perhaps it depends on the compatibility with the host. Maybe, if it's low, the symbiote can control the host but it detiriorates and dies, but if the symbiote bothers to find someone that is a good match they can't control them completely?

If you like Tom Hardy you could maybe check out the series called Peaky Blinders? He's only in the second series and after that (as far as i remember I'm not sure). But Cillian Murphy is absolutely amazing in it as the main character. He's also Scarecrow from The Dark Knight trilogy

During a battle Spider-Man get his costume torn up he enters a strange laboratory and finds a costume repairing machine which contains an alien symbiote that bonds with him and provides as his new black and white costume with enhanced abilities. He enjoyed it at first but when he found out it was trying to permanently fuse and possess him, Spider-Man uses the sound of a church bell to remove the symbiote from his body. However Peter Parker’s rival the daily bugle reporter Eddie Brock published an article incriminating a man, he thought was the serial killer Sin-Eater, but Spider-Man caught the real culprit which proved his story to be false causing him to get fired because of this Eddie blames Spider-Man for his very own downfall decides to commit suicide in the church where the symbiote bonds with him, and has now gained all access to Spider-Man’s powers, memories and the ability to block his spider sense, Eddie rises as the vengeful monstrous creature later lethal protector Venom.

The symbiotes in this movie take full control of hosts that are incompatible. So they’re basically driving a corpse. When they find a compatible host they end up sharing control since I guess a compatible host is someone who is strong enough to host the symbiote and thus a bit resistant to their full control.

If the character like Eddie Brock has a very good connection with the symbiote he can turn into a ginormous monster but if the symbiotes it does not have a good connection with the host then the host won't be able to control their self and the symbiote would take full control

i cant find a comment explaining why some of the characters early on doesnt work with the symbiote. well to achieve symbiosis in nature, both parts have to gain something from the other party, so my guess is that the characters early on doesnt have anything of value for the symbiotes, that is why venom keeps Eddie, he is just built different.
