So to understand the "Recast Pietro" line you need a little context. The Characters of Wanda & Pietro were the only 2 who existed both in the MCU And the Fox Xmen movies. It's complicated. The actor who's playing Pietro here originally played him in Xmen: Days of Future Past.

Fun fact: X-men Pietro and Age of Ultron Pietro both starred in the movie Kick Ass. Hence the ”kick ass” comment with the kids on Halloween where they all are wearing their comic book costumes. Nice touch!

This show at its core dhows the dangers of an extremely powerful super hero struggling with PTSD. It started hen her and her brother watched their parents die, continued when she watched her brother die. Next she accidently kills those people in Lagos, gets punished, falls in love with Vision only to have to be the one to destroy him, then Have Thanos reverse it just to watch him die again. A human mind has limits and Wanda's are showing.

This is why I said it was important to be caught up on the other Marvel lines, namely the X-Men serious before going farther into the MCU. The character Pietro AKA Quicksilver, appeared in both series, but they decided to bring the actor who played him in the X-men movies over to the show, rather than the one who played him in Age of Ultron. The first hint into the multiverse, which this saga of the MCU is all about

The actor that played Pietro played the same character in X-Men Days of Future Past the other X-Men movies that followed. So it's kind of an inside joke that he's playing Pietro here instead of the actor from Age of Ultron.

This Pietro Maximoff in WandaVision is also kind of Wandas brother, they just changed the actor proberbly to make it funny. This actor plays Peter Maximoff aka Quicksilver from the X-Men Universe. Wanda called her brother Quicksilver but in the Avengers she calls him Pietro. Peter Maximoffs dad is Magneto, they mention that in both X-Men Days Of Future Past and X-Men Apocalypse.

if you watched the x-men episodes you see the actor that plays pietro as quicksilver. Quicksilver is the brother of Wanda. Those that knew that lost their mind when this came out and assumed the multiverse was finally kicking in. After all phase 4 to phase 6 are the multiverse saga just like phase 1-3 was the infinity saga

Monica Rambeaux was called Lieutenant Trouble by Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel. 😂 Episide six has Wanda, Vision, Pietro (Quicksilver), and Wiccan (Billy) and Speed (Tommy) in their comic book accurate costumes. 😂 The reality bubble is dubbed by Darcy Lewis as The Hex due to its shape. In the comics Wanda fires Hex Bolts of probability alteration. 😮

So the visual style of episode 5 was modeled after the shows Family Ties (including the family portrait being painted during the theme song sequence as well as the style of the house), Growing Pains (the collage of family photos in the theme song sequence) and Full House (family playing outside during the theme song sequence). The style of episode 6 (Halloween episode) was modeled after Malcolm in the Middle, including the boy talking to the audience. I like how Wanda's Halloween costume is like the Scarlett Witch dressed in the old comics. The same goes for Vision's costume.

12:10 The first episode was the 50's and the intro was done like "The Dick Van Dyke Show", Episode 2 was the 60's and the intro was done like "Bewitched", Episode three was done up like "The Brady Bunch" in the 80's. Episode 4, was present day and didn't have opening credits. Episode 5 is done up like "Growing Pains" in the late 80's to mid 90's.

So, Fury helped create SWORD as a compliment to SHIELD after the events in Captain Marvel. SHIELD handles earthly threats and SWORD (Sentient World Observation and Response Department) handles extraterrestrial threats with Maria Rambeau as the director. During the blip, after Maria’s death, Director Tyler Hayward became obsessed with Ultron and Vision and completely changed the focus of the agency to researching and preparing to fight robots. SWORD became the Sentient Weapon Observation and Response Division. Hayward didn’t want to deal with Monica when she returned so foisted her off on this mission. Hayward just knows that after the blip, Fury, Hill, and Monica will all return and be pissed off that he changed SWORD from Fury’s vision. This is also why Monica knew a bunch of fiercely loyal astronaut and aerospace engineers happy to help her.

@tktopmovies So the paper towel commercial for the brand Lagos “for when you make a mess you didn’t mean to” was a reference to the opening of Captain America: Civil War when Wanda accidentally used her powers to make that bomb fly up in the air so it wouldn’t blow everyone up on the ground but it blew up the building full of people instead. ALSO funny thing about the recasted Pietro…This actor also played Pietro in the Fox X-Men movies. So it was a huge mind f*ck for everyone when we saw him. Everyone thought this was the moment the MCU was going to bring in the mutants from X-Men. There were theories all over the internet about it. Speaking of theories…when this show was airing weekly the internet was going crazy with fan theories about the show. They referenced things related to the devil or a demon multiple times. And in the comics one of Wanda’s biggest comic book moments is her interactions with basically the Marvel comics version of the devil. It is a character named Mephisto and he looks like the devil but not technically actual Satan from the Bible. He just looks like him and enjoys impersonating the devil.

I really liked this show, really cool premise and format. But it seriously does downplay just how f’d up what Wanda is doing. Because the sword guys right, she IS a terrorist at this point. She’s literally holding an entire town hostage, and seemingly keeping them all in pain too. But the shows all like; oh well shes grieving, so that makes it ok.
