15:15 the reason Monica is getting powers is because her cells are being rewritten every time she goes into and out of the hex, they explained it when they took an x-ray of Monica in episode 4 or 5 and it didn't come out.

in episode 4 we were shown that Monica's blood tests and x-ray were inconclusive, and then in episode 6 Darcy says that Monica's DNA has already been rewritten twice at the molecular level, each time she passed through the barrier, while everything inside is involuntarily rewritten by Wanda's wishes, Monica was forced to be rewritten to fit into that world without her permission. Therefore, when rewritten a third time, she got powers, which will be further explained and explored in another Marvel production. Monica is a character in the comics who was the first to use the mantle of Captain Marvel even before Carol Danvers, here in the MCU she received a new origin story. Oh! And you already had this theory, but remember in episode 4 when Monica is mentioning what it was like to be in Wanda's control, she says that she felt pain, sadness and that she felt mourning, Wanda's mourning. Monica is going through exactly the same process with her mother, cause she lost her "practically" at the same moment that Wanda lost Vision, as they both disappeared with the snap of Thanos' fingers. That's why she was able to cross the barrier, because this magic is entirely linked to grief.

I'm not sure if you have noticed, but every time we are in Westview, the aspect ratio is a television ratio, but every time we are in the real world, it is a cinematic ratio. Once Wanda went into the basement, the aspect ratio changed. Whatever's happening in the basement is not part of Wanda's creation.

You completely missed the point of what Monica was seeing and thinking about as she went through the hex's barrier. It had nothing to do with showing that she can get through because she was strong enough to deal with her mother's death or anything like that. It was showing that the magic Wanda is using is intrinsically linked with grief. Monica was able to get through where the vehicle couldn't because of her own grief over the loss of her mother. Unlike the vehicle, which was completely foreign to anything inside the hex and obviously can't feel grief, Monica's cells had already been rewritten by the hex and she was full of her own grief, so the hex's barrier couldn't keep her out because to the magic she felt like she belonged inside.

Yes, the house in this episode was based on the house in Modern Family. Each of the sitcom episodes was based on a house from a sitcom. Episode 1 was the Dick Van Dyke Show house. Episode 2 was the Bewitched house, 3 was Brady Bunch, 5 was Family Ties and 6 was the house from Malcom in the Middle

Monica's comic book origin is actually Captain Marvel's origin. She was the first female Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers debuted as Ms. Marvel. Monica shows up after Ms. Marvel is renamed to Captain Marvel and was killed by Rogue. Yes, Rogue from X-men.

Please, do yourselves a favor and do the last two episodes together XD Just trust me on that one. Also, I can respect your feelings about how they're establishing Monica's place as a superhero in this show, but... eh, it is definitely a "your mileage may vary" kind of a moment, I think. I was fine with it, but that doesn't mean that you have to be fine with it, too. At the end of the day, she's being established here to set up a wider role in the MCU going forward in the post-Endgame world. That's kind of one of the problems with retiring the main core of the MCU... they've got to tap new characters to fill the roster back out again. Still, it is valid for you to not enjoy how she got her powers. I'll be the last to argue otherwise. It also just doesn't help that Wanda isn't the hero most relevant to Monica's background. Still, that's a whole other kettle of worms that you'll eventually get to.

I’m kinda late but for context the Nexus anti-depressant commercial is an Easter egg/foreshadowing to how Wanda is a nexus being. In the comics Nexus beings are very rare and have the ability to affect probability and the future. They are also keystones to the stability of the multiverse. The “nexus” term will come back again in Loki

There's no season 2 of Wanda Vision but there IS an Agatha Harkness spinoff. If you were familiar with the comics, Monica Rambeau is a long -time MCU Superhero and Agatha Harkness a long-term villian. So they're following the comics not making up their powers specifically for the show

I really don't see the issue in why you two have such an issue with Monica eventually developing powers because she passed through the Hex so many times? Much more, unrealistic and unexplainable things have happened throughout the MCU. You two do remember you're watching a highly fictionalized medium, that has zero credibility in the real world? There's two sequels to this. One, a movie, and one an upcoming series. But don't look any further for details (even on names of these projects) because they'll spoil you on certain things. I WILL say that the movie (which already happened) isn't very good. The upcoming series, from info around about it, sounds like it probably WILL be good.

The movie is subjective. The movie is not bad nor is it super good. Some think it is great some think it sucks. I think the movie is great for what it was trying to achieve with all the reshoots and plot editing last minute. The movie has good action and great surprises. People where expecting characters that had absolutely no business being there. The only not so great things is the dialogue and reused plot that Elizabeth Olsen spoke about. And some of the CGI. And that it seems a lot of people were confused about a certain character's arc. But the movie did fairly good with almost making $1Billion, having 73% rotten tomatoes. Alot of the complaints Im seeing is people having a preconceived version of the movie before them and when it doesnt happen people are mad. I can already tell that Sam and Tristan are going to be confused and I wish there was a way to unconfuse everything for them but I dont know how often they read comments or watch videos that are dedicated to uncomplicating stuff. Like New Rockstars and whatnot. But overall everything after WandaVision is hit or miss. You either love or hate. Let's just see what they think without trying to sway or make them scared to go into watching it. I know when people say that recent Doctor Who sucks, people are hesitant to watch it and are expecting to not like it. Lets just let them both watch and make an opinion and correct them on anything there were incorrect about such as Monica in this episode. They forgot that everytime you go or leave the hex it changes DNA.

@@havok6280 Agatha Harkness has another complicated history in the comics. She is a witch in the comics. Ancient. She first debuted in Fantastic Four as the Governess of Franklin Richards. She hails from Wungadore, which Pietro and Wanda were tied to in the Avengers Comics. They were explained as being of Romani decent on their Mothers side and Mutant on their Fathers side. Wanda, is described as being a Witch as well as a Mutant. She uses Chaos Magic. Once she learned of this, she trained under Agatha in the use of Witchcraft. Wungadore is also where the High Evolutionary did experiments and created many human/animal hybrid creatures. He will show up in an MCU movie later
