Are any of you backing this game? Whats the best part of it? I think these miniatures are looking absolutely amazing, and Hellboy was a pleasure to paint, really enjoyed him!

Looks awesome, except that I will give the coat a bit more greenish/grey hue that it also has in the comics. Hope that you will do the other minis when the game comes out as some of the will need some advanced techniques to look good - and I know I will need help with that. #n00b

I backed within 2 hours of the Kickstarter release. I have loved the HELLBOY IP for years, I really like investigation games and I love the look of the minis. So it was a WIN, WIN, WIN!!! Great work, by the way!

Thanks Chris! Yeah I umm’d and arr’d about that wash choice on steam. But I think it was a good choice in the end. Very cartoon like and suits it well. There’s another red model coming very soon where we use a red wash! So they’ll be a nice video to see what a effect you get with that wash instead

notes .. Clean mold lines then, Most resin Models still have Mold Release still on them you need to wash off or it really lets paint scrape off easy, 2 I would still prime it just helps paint even stick better, and after spray it with a matte to bring down the Shine, and Brush on any Glass in spots like Eyes, Mouth & etc that needs to still have it.

The game colour range I use is designed to be primer/base coat in one. I've had zero issues with this range so far, having said that, I still recommend doing a spray primer of some sorts, but I don't think you *have* to with this range, and I never do if I have a high detail resin model to paint.

I prime and Matt clear coat all mine but there being handled and played with so they need all the strength they can get lol

aww, good quick paint job. It hurt watching that wonderful Resin being painted soooo fast. It's funny how a high quality model always begs for you to slow down and take your time and get the best you have ( kinda like a good gal ).

I hear ya! I lost a bit of detail on the horn with the speed. Saddens me too. But I do like to paint quick on the channel (and life) which is a balance of having enough time to paint everything and still getting some quality. Would love’d to have spent a little longer on this one but it was either quick or not at all as vacation calls :-(

Woah Paul, your poor wallet :-D I don’t know if you’re new to the channel, but I started my channel when I was very new (a year ago) to show people how easy it is to get into painting. You can get good very quick. If you need any hints and tips feel free to ask away. And I also now have nearly 150 tutorials on the channel. Watch It Paint It I am new to your channel, but I'm definitely looking forward to using it as a resource. I'm a bit of an illustrator. Paint has never been a medium I've been comfortable with because of the lack of control I have with it. I'm looking to change that though.

What were your thoughts on painting resin? I went from Resin to 3D printed to PVC in rapid succession O.o Well done btw! Love the color scheme on this mini :D

I’ve painted it a ton of times now. I like it. Really high detail. Can skip priming it, which is faster but also lets you keep a little more detail. I hate how brittle it is though. The number of resin minis I have snapped by Just looking at them. 3D printed at the worst in my opinion, they snap less at least though. What did you think?

Luckily all of the resin I've painted has been fairly thick so no issue with anything breaking off. I'd be so upset if they broke! As for 3D printed minis, I've only handled the two chibi ones and I really like them, the detail is way more than I figured it'd be! Not sure how they'd do with something straight like armor though and the necessary propping posts are a paint. Overall pretty surprised by the quality though!

Yeah. I’ve still got to work it out. Patreon don’t let you do giveaways or raffles. So I’ll have to set up someone for everyone to show interest in what they’d like and basically offer a price they are happy with supporting the channel and getting a model they’d like
