I've just got the game today so I imagine I'll be watching all your tutorials for green horde... It's a really good video and great result. I did paint up the Black Plague game and I used deep tone quick shade and I'll be using that again a I really liked the result -Thanks for sharing.

Love the way Austin did this. I agree with the all-over shade. Recess/pin washing still has to be cleaned up and requires time on both ends (when applying the wash and when cleaning it up.) As you are starting with the skin tone as the base color that is already done, then the wash step is quick, only the bringing it back up takes time and its the same time you would have used if changing the base color to the skin. I take way too long to paint as it is and the above is usually shorter in my experience.

Very interest points Rob. When I come to paint my own I’ll do a few of each method see which is faster. But even then, what works for one of use, doesn’t work for us all! Lucky for me I’m pretty fast at painting, even so the 35 walkers are going to take me a serious amount of time

That is a very true point. Speed is also gained through practice, if you do one thing/method a bunch you will get faster at it and someone who just starts say "What do you mean that's fast it takes me forever."

How long would you say it takes to get good enough to paint at this level? I really want to get into miniature painting but it really just depends on how much practice I’ll have to put in.

Great looking minis again, they are for sure different with that skin tone, but who says that Orcs allways have to be green? If just primed and "skinned" the first row of mine, all in a different green, maybe I will try a different color for the next ones. I am looking forward for your Finarton, hopefully you will paint it, when he comes next month.

It’s more interesting isn’t it with a few different colours! Goblins and orcs are way too close normally! Oooh zombie or survivor Finarton? Need to work out what are the most important models to paint first for the exclusives!

did you spray prime the mini with fog grey? I can't find a spray version of that color

Hey man, sorry Austin has an airbrush so he will have primed it using fog grey in his airbrush. No matching spray can for us :-(

Kevin So you’ll want to use an actual primer generally. It’s more adhesive to the plastic and let’s you paint on top without the paint easily coming off. You could make the orcs a little darker and use Army Painters wolf grey primer?

@@WatchItPaintIt thx! So you suggest priming with wolf grey. Use wolf grey as skin first and then after using agrathax earth shade to shade entire figurine, then use fog grey to highlight skin again?

I’ve got some. I’ve used it a couple of times. I did it for my Massive Darkness chests video, the trebuchet from Green Horde and I made a video just on the stuff if you want to check any of those out

I actually picked up a gravity fed Airbrush/compressor for under 130$ cdn from Amazon. it works really well. well done as always.

Watch It Paint It I don't use it nearly enough but yeah mostly priming. Though I am going to start using it more. I think it definitely pays for itself!

I’m with you on the debate. I’m not sure how I feel about blue orcs. But I do like sticking close to the artwork. And I do like being able to tell the zombie types apart more easily on the table! I saw Scott had some some of his orcs from Massive Darkness in RED! When he said I was sceptical but boyyy do they look good
