Just a quick question about suspicion. If a goon is recruited or goons advance and there were suspicion cubes on that space. Do those cubes stay on that space or go back to supply to be set out to new goon locations?

I read two versions of the rules (one at BGG and now that I own Lockup the physical copy it came with)... Besides not removing the resource cubes, it also looks like you don't reset the suspicion cubes after a raid. (In the video, both the resources and suspicion are replenished.)

Played this game tonight for the first time. We narrowed the decisions down to this, Pret-a-porte, and Ex Libris. Went with this game because Rodney Smith did a video on this game and not the others. Rodney, your videos are so good, that whether or not you have made a how to play video literally factors into our decision making process. Thanks for the excellent videos!

Yup! This is a must. We still love Roll Player and the expansion, so this is definitely going into the collection. I will be ordering it as soon as I get back from our cruise. (We brought four games on the cruise, including Taverns of Tiefenthal (which I got for Christmas but have not played), Architects of the West Kingdom, Watergate, and London). I don’t want it waiting on my porch while I am gone. But this looks amazing! GREAT video!!!

I backed this game on Kickstarter, and am so glad to see it getting attention. I have played this with a couple of game groups, and everyone seemed to like it. I really like the worker placement mechanic of this one... another you might check out is "Treasure Mountain"... a great worker placement with a bump mechanic. Thanks for the great vids.

This was definitely my most surprising game from 2019...being from TW games I knew it'd be good, but I didn't realize just how much I'd like it! And a little birdie told me that an expansion is planned for it sometime this year or next!

This game looks really good. it's nice to see euro games more in a space where players are competing for resources, and the mechanic where you bid for tiles looks fun.

:) Already bought his and like it. Review was Excellent (as usual). Game itself could have used some design changes to make "valuables" and "storage space" more user friendly, better graphical clarification on the room divisions / rewards but otherwise a well made game.

Rodney, During the Library phase and the same person collect say 1st and 2nd, or 1st and 3rd, etc? Or is it one collection per player?

Hello, Just to clarify about going to the library. Since you only go to the library if you do not win any resources, that means you only get to go to the library from locations #1, 3 and 4 since they only give to first and second/ last? And NOT rooms #2, 5, 6, 7 since everyone can do something? So, in the sewers, the 4th place player in a 4 player game would get a green cube and not be able to go to the library? Unless they choose forfeit their green cube and go to the library instead?

Andrew Heagle They still had the most strength and attracted the attention of the guards, so they get the cubes (even if they duck out to the library).

Am I mixing things up or did you say to add resources and suspicion at the end of a round twice at 16:52 and 18:18 ?

Sort of, but not really. What I'm showing at 16:52, is that you add suspicion and resource cubes to the board once the old goons have been moved and new ones have been added at the end of a round. Then IF you run out of suspicion to add at that point, you stop and resolve a raid. After the raid, as shown at 18:18, you remove all cubes from the board, and then re-add cubes (basically resetting them). Keep in mind, there may be other cubes on the board, from suspicion that didn't get collected due to scouts, etc - so the clean sweep and reset ensures there aren't other cubes lingering around.

I haven't always done the spin, that's something that started later in the shows life, but became a fun little thing that I enjoy doing now.

Hi Rodney, one thing that you could ask for clarification with the publisher or designer, a question was posted on bgg regarding returning the Resource cubes to the supply after a raid 18:17 and the Designer said that the Resources should stay in the board, can you confirm if he made a mistake or if there's a "goof" in your explanation? boardgamegeek.com/thread/2532028/article/36190577#36190577 Thank you

Hard to say. This video was reviewed by the publisher before publication, so possibly they changed their mind on the rule? Or, as sometimes happens, what the publisher decides the rule will be, is different from the designers original intention.
