Great video! Love this game! Curious on your example of building the bridge over water rendering that space as no longer water. I don't recall it saying that in the rules and the thread on BGG discussing that hasn't had an official ruling by the designer (that I've seen). Did they clarify that rule somewhere? I'm not one to doubt your explanations, Rodney, ;) but that has come up in every game we've played so far, so I was curious on that rule so I can make sure I teach it correctly going forward. :)

Yeah, this was something I confirmed with the publisher and team - glad to be able to clarify!

@@WatchItPlayedAwesome, thanks so much! I was overthinking it from a thematic standpoint, but it's simpler mechancially, and is obviously the intended way to play that anything covered up ceases to be whatever it was. Thanks again, super helpful! :)
@WatchItPlayed8 ай бұрын
@@2185JMac Yeah, I think it really is meant to help mechanically and avoid those situations where things start to really get covered up and then you're moving pieces around to remind yourself "wait, what was under there?" :)

Just a tip, place the stacks next to the main board and only place the pieces for the round onto the board. We found the shape stacks got in the way for other players when they tried to see the other options on the main board. Great tutorial, great game. Can't wait for the expansion. In 4 players we always run out of wonders.

Hello! Very nice video and thanks for intrusion! However I still have one quick question. Can we place road/building next to Monuments? or we only can put the tower next to Monuments? or None of above?

Can you place a building adjacent to the sidewalk, or does it have to be next to a road?
@WatchItPlayed8 ай бұрын
Only a road, or another building of the same type.
@danielschaublin8 ай бұрын
At 2:30, those monuments pieces look like they can make their own city and be the center piece that everyone talks about while playing the game. I think the designer must have paid a decent amount of money to get those wooden pieces to look good based on their beautiful colors, etc. and I don't see that much attention put into wooden pieces that often in retail games like this one. I almost thought they were pained minis in a way. Otherwise, great tutorial as usual.

Can you take a new loan on the same turn you pay off your old one? Both are free actions no? I pay off and end up on 6 gold, take a new one so I can buy for 9? Or is it you pay it off and end on 6 and then have to buy for 1 gold or take a monument and end the round? Maybe I'm missing it but I can't find it in the rulebook.

@@WatchItPlayed I know what you SAID in the video, I can't find any confirmation in the rulebook, which is was more what I was looking for. Nothing in the rulebook states you can't do both afaik but your statement in the video implies you can't. Was just looking for confirmation. I appreciate your videos often don't have many mistakes but they do happen. Also I've gotten conflicting answers on BGG, so there's also that. Sorry for not just taking the word of a youtuber over the rulebook I guess.
