Hello .Great video us always.On min 10 where you mention any objects hit by a bullet are readjusted to the way they where before while in page 7 of rulebook clearly states that any objects, buildings etc displaced by the bullet remain in these new places.You only rearrange when hit by movemment disc.
@WatchItPlayed6 жыл бұрын
This was something that I asked the publisher about while filming as well. The text on page 7 refers to what happens when a bullet misses the cowboy. This is referenced at 10:46 in the video. When the bullet hits a cowboy however, any extra cowboys or objects hit need to be returned to where they came from and stood back up. The reasoning for this is that the bullet has already hit the cowboy, so any ricochet shouldn't have happened and needs to be repaired.

Hi Rodney! I know it's a long time since you posted this video, but I have a simple question. Here and there on BGG they say: 1. when flicking, you can't use the resistance of the table, neither 2. in a building there's a maximum number of cowboys allowed, and it's 2. So duels can only be played 1 vs 1 or 1 vs 2 I honestly prefer the version of these rules so as they're shown in your video, they make much more sense to me this way. So the question is: since the rulebook doesn't explicitly specify either of those two aspects, did you ask clarifications to the authors / publishers before shooting? I will keep playing the way you teach, but I'd feel more comfortable in playing the game as it was intended by the authors themselves. If you don't remember, it's ok, just take notice that I LOVE your videos :D Take care.
@WatchItPlayed2 жыл бұрын
I do remember! I have the publishers check all of the tutorial videos before they go out - and with this video in particular, I remember having to ask several questions (as the rulebook translation from French wasn't very good), so I have a high level of confidence in what is being shown here.

Hi quick rules question: 1. If a bullet hits a meeple and it turns onto its arm but doesn’t fall down is it a life loss? 2. If a bullet hits a meeple and it bumps into something else but doesn’t fall down is it a life loss?
@WatchItPlayed27 күн бұрын
Hi there, these are great questions, but I have to admit, ass much as I try to answer all rules questions on all videos I've done tutorials for, this was long enough ago I don't recall from memory, and I don't have my copy of the game to look up the rules. I'd suggest checking the rules forum on BGG, and seeing if this question was asked, and if not, posting the question to see if someone with more recent experience might know: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/169124/flick-em-up/forums/66

Super video! Im almost sure to buy this game. Just a question... how is the reboxing of all the game pieces? Is there in the box enough space for all the mounted buildings or each time must be dismounted? How with the wear of the material? Tvm :)

I didn't have trouble with it, but your mileage may vary. Wear and tear sometimes comes down to the players.

Hey Rodney while I was looking on Amazon for this game, I noticed there was a plastic version from Z-Man games. They have the same logo and info on the back of the box. I wanted to ask if you knew besides the pieces being plastic, if there is anything different gameplay wise. It is $20 cheaper so I would rather get the plastic version if it is the same as the wood version.

Yep, they did release a plastic version. I heard about that, but haven't seen it in person. Not sure if there are any rules changes (probably not)..

Hey great video :) not sure if its been mentioned before and i know its something that you don't have aby control over, but I have just received the game for my birthday and I have an issue with the buildings and the bases. In your video they appear to attach and detach quite smoothly however it is a really tough fit with my copy of the game and has caused slight damage to one of the buildings. protective stickers were provided which i have used however i dont want to attsch/detach the stands after each play session and cause additinal damage to the building components this also means i cant store the pieces in the box. I have emailed Pretzal games however i haven't heard anything from them. Did you have any suggestions without me having to physically alter the pieces myself? again apologies for the question.

Laurence, sorry to hear you are having trouble with your copy. Unfortunately, you're right, there really isn't anything else I know that you can do, except contact the company. If you don't hear back through email, you could try them on Twitter if you have an account there.

I have a question about the intivate token. Does it change or pass to the other team every round?? The rulebook does not seem clear, but it has a weird A-A-B-B-C-C diagram.
@WatchItPlayed8 жыл бұрын
The AABBCC diagram is just to show you the order that cowboys take turns in (and you always start with the A Cowboy of the player with the initiative token). Unless the initiative changes teams, then it stays with the team it started with each round. If a cowboy is shot dead and it has the initiative token, then the token is placed on the box space corresponding to the cowboy who shot the bullet. That's when it changes possession.
@LordElfiian8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the reply. It makes sense now.

Well, that looked interesting. Might not get it because my playspace is too limited for a dexterity-based game (and my floor is carpeted), but I'll watch the gameplay sessions with Luke. Speaking of dexterity games, I wonder how you think about Level 99 Games' "Disk Duelers". I'm somewhat interested in it despite the limited playspace, but I can't imagine how that would be played out (that and if it's good enough to eventually buy the Print & Play-version)
