For being such a small game, box and footprint-wise, there is a lot of fun in there! Quite a tense 2-player battle, pretty evenly split in our handful of games so far. Would be great if they put out other factions in their own 2-player games, make a series of these.

Hi, I've this game (old version) for few months. Never played, but When I read the rulebook I can read : P7 - Activation signs : "When entering a city - This card’s skill is activated each time it enters an active or future city, whether it was done by playing this card from a player’s hand or as a result of any kind of movement from one city to another." Or at 15:45 of the video you say that activation is only available at the controling player's turn. Are you sure of that? Because I don't read it in the rulebook !!! For me, as long as the card enters a city (by any kind of way) in the turn of any players (A PLAYER'S HAND not ACTIVE PLAYER) It activates the skill ! Can you confirm it or not? Regards Nicolas

+Toto Titi Double checked with the publisher. The way I have it is correct, if for no other reason than that the Moloch player should NEVER move a solider to an Active/Future city? That's just bad play. In the video, I should an example of something a player really should never do... so, it should never happen :)

+Jason Peacock The rules indicate that anytime a Moloch moves into an Active or Future city, it's "When Enters City" effects trigger, so my understanding is that it would.

You had said that moving another players unit does not trigger "when enters the city" effects but I cannot find this anywhere in the rules. It is only discard effects and "once per turn" effects that it mentions being limited to your own turn.

+Daniel Gallagher If not found in the rules, then this is something that I would have been informed of by the publisher directly (sometimes things are not always clear, or are missing in the printed rule books). I get the publisher to check over the rules videos before I post them publicly.

We played before watching this. We couldn't find anywhere in the rules that mentioned skills were only valid for the city they are in. Do you know where that is mentioned in the rules? For an example we had the bunker giving +1 strength to all soldiers in play. And not just the city where the bunker was. It didn't make much logical sense but we couldn't find anything saying it's only for the one city.

+Watch It Played Great reply. I consider myself an Omni-gamer and I thought that just because I liked a game my twin brother would as well. I found out that is not the case, at all. He gravitates towards action or co-op games as opposed to thinky 1 vs 1 games. If I want to play something more cerebral I play with another friend.

So... In the very last district of New York, if the Moloch player has a single unit (lets say Strength = 1) and no modules and the Outpost player has three units (lets say Strength = 1 for each) but none of the three units have the special ability to kill the remaining Moloch unit... Even though the Outpost won the final battle, the Moloch team wins?

+crackawhat1 Never a problem to ask a question :) That said, I tend to avoid these kinds of questions, because what one person sees as similar another sees as different, but having played both, no, I wouldn't say they are the same. They do both use cards, and have locations you battle at, but I wouldn't go from that to saying they are the same games, anymore than I would say that Kemet and Risk are the same because they both have units battling on a map. But again, that's just my experience of both games talking, yours may lead you to a different conclusion.
