I like how it not only references Disney and Pixar movies, but Pixar shorts like Night and Day as well!

I have a few hundred Dixit cards and may end up with this set. Good explanation; if you are the storyteller, after you get everyone's cards and before you shuffle them and reveal them, give them a look over if you are not good at maintaining a poker face.

I know people here won’t know what I’m talking about but it would mean a lot if Disney made a kingdom hearts art.

Only if Disney AND Square Enix says ok

Was going to ask "don't you add a random deck card to the pile in the original game", but now I'm too distracted wondering if you realised "Almost There" is a song f from The Princess and the Frog and deliberately leading me astray with that clue....🤔

I didn't realise that the disney version had those dials! Seems a bit more user-friendly than having loads of tokens around. 🙂
@WatchItPlayed Жыл бұрын
The newer editions of base Dixit have the dials too - a nice upgrade for sure!
@StuffByBez Жыл бұрын
@@WatchItPlayed Definitely easier to use I imagine! I guess the tiles are cheaper, but when you're selling massive numbers you can afford some fancier stuff thanks to economies of scale. 🙂

The backs aren't marked, but on the front, in the bottom right corner there is a Disney marking on the card.

I've got the original Dixit. I may be wrong, but I think in the original rule set, players are only eligible to earn bonus points if no one gets the Storyteller's card, or if they correctly guessed the Storyteller's card. In other words, a player who did not correctly guess the Storyteller's card, when other players did, would not be eligible for bonus points (even if other players picked their card). Is that the same here, or did they make a change to the rules? (or did I misinterpret my old rule set?)
@Stoicgame Жыл бұрын
I could see it read that way, but in the example given within the rules people that did not guess correctly still get points. In the most recent edition of the English rules they even included a clarification saying as much.
@WatchItPlayed Жыл бұрын
You might have misinterpreted the older rule set, or it might have been less clear in the first print runs. Hard for me to say as I have a newer edition of the original set, and that is worded and shows the same scoring diagram on the board as the Disney edition.

am i missing something? seems like the fastest way to win this game is to simply never guess correctly
@WatchItPlayed Жыл бұрын
I think maybe you are? If you guess correctly (and everyone else does too, you get 2 points). If you guess correctly, but not everyone does, you get 3 points. So guessing correctly will (in the long run) give you more points. If you always guess incorrectly, you will never have a chance of earning 3 points in a single turn. Hope that helps!
