Question: If you don’t have the military troops to lose when taking an explore action, can you still do it? Nothing in the rules about this. Say I have two military strength on my personal board when playing the military card, but my troops are at zero, can I still explore a spot that requires ‘2’ attack and makes me lose two troops, even when I don’t have the troops to lose? I assume we can still attack that token.

Here's some questions to clarity some things: 1. At the 15:12 mark, when you unlock the next level of the development track on your city title through the development action, would that also activate all lighting bolt actions below the unlocked one? For example, with the track you shown at 15:12, if you unlocked tier #3 (the one with the infinity symbol), would that also trigger the lighting bolt actions on tiers 1 and 2, or would you ignore the effects from tiers 1 and 2 in this case? 2. For the Conquest of Persians event card (shown at 2:38), when it's check to see if Persepolis was explored, does that mean that it's explored if the 3 tokens on the Persepolis space (shown at 12:45) were taken by someone through an explored, and it's not explored if the tokens are still on the Persepolis space in round 9? As for my thoughts on Khora, the artwork on this game is amazing, and I shown that the cover boxart is also on the oracle card (shown at 14:08). Maybe another name that could have been good for the game is "Khora: Oracle of an Empire," or could hint as a spin-off game based on this one that uses predictions, tarot cards, etc. Otherwise, great tutorial, and nice to have you back after your 2+ week break from tutorial videos.
@WatchItPlayed3 жыл бұрын
1) No, those only activate once, at the time they are first unlocked. 2) Correct. It's been a 2+ week for the viewers, but tutorials have been in steady production - it's just that shipping delays are causing delays on when I can release videos. The industry is going through quite a roller coaster right now!
@danielschaublin3 жыл бұрын
@@WatchItPlayed Thanks for answering my 2 questions about the rules. When I read the rulebook online, it didn't explain clearly how those 2 things works. As for the tutorials, in summary, you're still filming them, but you aren't allow to release them on KZbin until the game is near the release date sat by the publisher (or until they say "you can upload it now), and due to delays all over the place right now, a lot of games that you did tutorials on are getting pushed back on release dates, and so your tutorials remain "locked" behind the scenes for a long time. Does that sum it up nicely? If so, it must be hard for everything right now, not just on board games, but on other fun things to do as well (movies, video games, etc.)? I hope it ends soon, too, but I can't tell if that's in 3 months, or 3 years.
@WatchItPlayed3 жыл бұрын
@@danielschaublin I don't know if say the videos are "locked", "not allowed", etc. When a publisher reaches out to get a tutorial made, we discuss when they'd like it released, and book a time for it within my schedule, but if they run into production problems or delays, we discuss new dates, and when I can, I try to accommodate them. Know what I mean?
@danielschaublin3 жыл бұрын
@@WatchItPlayed Makes sense. In summary, you "plan" to get the tutorial done when you first discuss it, but when the game it's about is delayed to a later date, you either leave the finished tutorial on your computer until X date, or film it at a later time. Is that all correct?

At 13:31 you state for the (peripteros) politics card, you must also pay the drachma to the supply as well? What is the other thing being paid back to the supply if the knowledge tokens are not spent? Is there another card that may have something else to pay to the supply not shown? Solid job as always Rodney and glad to have this video made by you. I am anxiously waiting for the pre-order to arrive.
@WatchItPlayed3 жыл бұрын
What that section is saying is that there are two requirements to play the politics card we are showing on screen. One is that you have to have the knowledge tokens it shows (you don't spend them, you just have to have them), the other is that if there is a drachma cost, you must spend that as well, in order to play the card.

I have some tiny questions regarding the game. We played the game and we got in some issues that the rulebook from our point of view doesn't explain in a way that we are sure we played it right. (We played the game in german) 1. Regarding the achievements, when I or more players got one, let's say in the second round from 9 rounds. Does that mean, that I get the achievement every round, or just in round 2 and then the rest of the game this achievement is kinda finished. 2. At the end of the game, when it comes to counting points. Sometimes during the game I need to use some major knowledge tokens to play a politic card or something like that, can I still use this tokens I spend to play a card at the end and multiply them with my glory level? Or is every major knowledge token I spend gone. Thank you very much for the answers
@WatchItPlayed3 жыл бұрын
Hey there, I'm always happy to try to help with rules questions, but if the answer is provided in the video, than I have to direct you there. You'll find an index in the description to help you find the section you might be looking for.
@dimmok83442 жыл бұрын
@Stefanie 1) the achievements are triggered just once for all players that do so in that round. So you don’t continue to gain the rewards every round after. 2) you never pay the knowledge requirements on cards or your civilization board. Think of it as a threshold, once you have that token(s) it counts for every instance in which it’s required. Hope that helps.
