Collected it today. NOT impressed with the 'bowl' thingy - somewhat flimsy IMO. Will get a little bowl instead. Rest of the game is great tho - esp the artwork!@@WatchItPlayed

Game looks fun, but from what I saw it seems the familiar is kinda just a point dumper? I saw 1 card that interacts a bit with the familiar giving points for each of a specific rune you stored in the familiar. Are there more interactions with the familiars? Because as fun as the spell system looks, the familiar looks a bit uninteractive.

I shot this long enough ago I don't recall, but I do think, in general, the familiar is meant to always give you a place to generate points.

In the rulebook on page 8 (Altar refilling) it states 'If there are 10 or more Materia on the altar' - would there ever be a situation where they'd be more than 10 on there?

12:00 can I get some clarification regarding this rule. Are you saying that, while normally you could make multiple groups of 3 runes to act as wild as long as one non wild of the specific colour is used, are you saying that this changes once you use the learnt spell for the single wild? Eg, I want to learn a 3 spell of white, I have 1 white and 4 more runes iny possession. 3 of those runes all have the same image and the 4th rune has an image like that of the blue card I have learnt. Can I make up my 3 card like this or must I instead either wait for enough runes to do the wild without activating the spell or upgrade my blue to allow the 2 rune wild rune?

I'll be honest, I found the question and example a bit hard to follow (it's not always easy to describe visual things in text), so let me say it this way: If you use the Blue Spell showing on screen at 12:00 to "Learn a new spell", then you CANNOT use the normal way to create wilds that was described earlier in the video. The "only" wilds you can use when performing that Blue spell to Learn a spell, IS the method provided by the Blue spell. You can still use Wilds in the normal way, for example, when using the Evening effect to Learn a Spell. Hope that helps.

I bought the game and watched this video it was very helpful but my game comes with 8 familiar boards there's a unicorn an owl platypus and octopus but only have speel cards for the dragon the cat the gargoyle and the voodoo looking guy any body who this point me in the direction as to why and where I can buy spell cards for the remaining familiar boards?

You should only have 4 familiars (see here for the game contents: www.spacecowboys.fr/spellbook-en). Maybe you have a special edition, or some bonus components?

I've only played it two player, so there's that :) I avoid offering opinions on how enjoyable something is to play, as that's going to vary so much from person to person. What I like, someone else might not care for - but hopefully the video does a good job of explaining the rules of the game.
