COMPONENTS - The boards and cards are good quality, nothing to complain about. The acrylic tokens are lovely, but keep in mind that you might have to remove film from many of them (though for us it came up naturally as we played and some peeled off). 0:00 - Introduction 0:31 - Overview of Play 2:15 - Playthrough 15:48 - Review 18:42 - Patreon Shout-Out

The solo mode feels like it is missing something around the multiples of the colors. You have to give the solo "bot" a gem every turn, but don't care about what color you give them other than what you don't care about. It seems like it would be more rich if the solo bot cared about the colors. Whether that was a simple card that scored extra points for multiples of the same colors, or a more advanced set of "solo spells" that would trigger when 3,4,5 of a color got added to the board. It doesn't "feel" like either of those would be that hard to develop to increase how the solo plays.

Fully agree! That’s a great observation and is a design space that would be cool to explore

I agree with you. I tried the solo 3 times and was not impressed. I do wish I could trigger all of my spells of each day phase b/c that would give me more choices but we’re limited to one action per phase. I do wish each faction would be different and had a particular ability that would let you manipulate the gems. The solo mode felt like a race to learn as many spells as I can which is not easy.

or you could roll a d8 and he takes the gem of that number and you only get to choose on a die roll of 8 that way it may give more of a challenge as your plans awry when he takes the gems you want

how is the setup time and clean up time it appears it would be quick

Súper quick! The only slow part for setup is if you are mixing and matching spell sets you need to make sure each player has the same cards. But otherwise it’s a breeze
