I really love the attention to detail in these 2 sets. All of them have such unique abilities & their cards have some great opportunities for creative strategies. Overall I’d say they really captured the energy of the comics! Daredevil & Luke Cage are my personal favorites from these sets~

I played the base game a while back as a triple threat of Alice (me) vs. Medusa vs. King Arthur, and it was one of the most interesting game nights I've had in ages! When you play it as a duel, it's about strategizing against your opponent and planning your moves based on your opponent's style and deck. But when you do a three-way-dance, it becomes about picking your battles, knowing when to step into the fight and when to stay out of it, maybe even forming some temporary alliances when someone's getting too far ahead, or teaming up to take out someone who's basically finished. Our game was very swingy and came down to the last few cards (and hit points) for all of us. Medusa took out Arthur, but she couldn't run and had very little health, so I moved in, took her out, and won. And now that I've played it and know they've done Marvel collabs, all I want is the Hell's Kitchen set! Daredevil is my favorite Marvel character and I can't wait to see how those characters play off of each other! And I love that the core rules are so well-built that you can mix-and-match characters from any set with any other! If only I had the shelf space to collect them all... And the money...

I played the 2 player game the most often as well, but had a similar experience when we added a second (and with the bigger boards, even a 4th player). It changes up the dynamic in very interesting ways!

If someone attacks and uses the mailbox item from the map, and that attack is cancelled with a feint, the way it is explained, that +1 from the mailbox is cancelled as well, correct? Awesome video. As someone who plays Unmatched regulary, these Marvel sets actually have plenty of new things to offer. Can't wait to try them out.

Hopefully, the publisher gets around to releasing "Unmatched: Free-For-All," where you can actually create your own decks to use in the game, as well as choose what passive abilities your characters have, sidekicks, etc. It would bring a lot of replayability to the table using your own made-up characters instead of pre-set ones once you played them all.

there's already a phone app where users upload their own deck designs you can use from your phone for brand new characters, just need a stand in mini for them, check it out quite fun

I find it interesting that you didn't refer back to your Battle Of Legends Volume 1 video for the basic rules of the game like you have with other sets. I'm aware that the Marvel sets haev a few new rules added to the mix, but you can still use them with all the previous sets. Ah well.... Great video! Glad to see you're still doing Unmatched, and I can hardly wait to try out the new fighters! Are you intending to do a video on the upcoming Jurassic Park Sattler vs. T-Rex set?

Sometimes when it's been a few years, and I think a release might warrant, I like being able to go back and refresh the tutorial. My guess is that the Marvel branding might bring some new gamers into the game, so having a tutorial that matches their set felt right. Cheers.

Feels like a silly question, but can you add any Unmatched character to do a 4-player game? At the end you say "If you have another Marvel set". Just wondering if there is a call out saying that these Marvel sets don't work well with previous Unmatched sets (Cobble and Fog, Legends, etc.)

If you were to attack with a card tat has the immediate effect of canceling your opponents effects (such as a feint card), but their defense card also has an immediate effect, would their effect be canceled or not? Sorry in advance if that was worded weirdly.

Defense cards are always resolved first, if there is a tie for two players having effects that would resolve at the same time.

@@slashyslasher1248 Nothing happens when your hand runs out. You'll want to get more cards probably (using the Maneuver action). If your deck runs out, there are effects related to that as well. Both of these you'll find in the video under their related sections in the index.
