Peter Liddle was with me 10 years ago at Delhi and we watched Manganiyar Seduction together at NH7 Weekender. I went there alone from Mumbai. I still can't forget that experience. I never imagined such a talented musician would just stand beside me and enjoy a beautiful musical performance together as if we were friends. I have a photograph saved somewhere with him. I will never forget it.

My dad was asking me what kind of music I listen to. I was especially insecure at the time and valued the time I spent alone with my music, but I decided to show him this band. He was interested and looked them up. Annnnnnnd he told me they had split four days prior. After that I was sad and didn't listen to them for a while. I'm glad to be listening again. This is beautiful!

LYRICS: Lo and behold! Your mother is drinking again This might be the coldest winter since records began You were a low moon, steady with wintry calm Leading the children softly across the farm Each morning you'd march your sisters like soldiers to school Cause lo and behold! Your father had drunk all the fuel You were a low moon, steady with wintry calm Somewhere inside the fire of your youth went dark But you swear blind there is no weight in the water pail You say "My love, you take the cards that you're dealt Cause there's no guiding light arching a line to Bethlehem If it's dark outside you light the fire yourself" Darling when the ice caps melt When the devil's in the bible belt Don't cower in your bed I'll be on the 5:45 You can meet me at the railway line And don't look so scared Cause we've been through worse than this before we could talk The trick of it is, don't be afraid any more

I came across this band by chance a few months ago and this was the first song I ever heard from them. Their music grabbed my heart and havent let it go since then. Their songs are so touching that I even cried while listening to some of them. This band became something special for me. I saw them performing live two weeks ago and I still have goose bumps when I think about it. I hope there will be many many more albums by this incredible band in the future. Keep up the good work, guys!
