I'm in Oklahoma and our shipments almost always went to Dallas and would cost a lot less in shipping. Now shipments are getting split 3 ways and going to 2 locations in Jersey and 1 in North Carolina this has more than tripled my shipping costs for the exact same products.

I doubt i can get someone to explain this but Ill ask I understand what you say to order triple amount then delete or cancel the 2/3rds of it and leave the shipping destination that wants to send wht you really wanted What I dont know how to do is cancel the other two shipments ? Maybe the ability to do that is right in front of me but I haven't noticed it Come to think of it arnt we accepting the shipping plan as a whole before it separates the shipments or is that after ? Hey Larry, in this video, are you referring to Amazon splitting your inventory to different FC's once they have received it from you, or splitting the shipment of your inventory when you are creating the shipment?

@@WatchMeAmazon Interesting! I have never had amazon do this to my shipments during the shipment creation process. They have only split my shipments once they have received them at the main FC. In what scenarios will they request you to split the shipment before?

@@riad-b it’s very very common. You are the exception to the rule. Also, double check your Amazon settings and make sure you don’t have Inventory Placement on - because they charge a lot for that

@@WatchMeAmazon Thanks for the tip! I just updated that. I clicked learn more under that option and it said "This service is scheduled to end on March 1, 2024. Shipping plans created on or after this date will not be eligible to use the Inventory Placement Service to consolidate shipments. Learn more about our new inbounding program by going to 2024 FBA inbound placement service fee." - Based on this, maybe a follow-up video would be great!

@@WatchMeAmazon Whenever I send a pallet of Haz Mat items the shipment always gets split between 2-4 fulfillment centers. If i opt out of fulfillment centers, will that help or would it only apply to standard items? Thank you for your reply BTW.

Actually if you triple your shipment, get 3 different locations and you just send in 1 location and delete the rest 2, you would be in high chance of getting the warning letter from Amazon... I'd rather not risk it.

Deleting shipments is bad.... shipping plans, not so much. They get deleted by Amazon automatically every 48 hours.

Deleting shipments violates Amazon's policies and could get you banned from shipping to FBA

Use it at your own risk, but I’ve never got that complaint in 10+ years. Also, it’s not against policy because technically we’re not even cancelling shipments. - we’re cancelling shipping PLANS. You don’t even have to cancel them yourself - Amazon automatically cancels PLANS after 48 hours. The other two shipments I talk about are never actually created or cancelled by you.
