Alan Moore, the dude made a career out of deconstruction and when others started copying him what did he do? He went back to golden age with Tom Strong and Supreme.

Are you also going to review another influential 80s comic that deconstructed the superhero - Dark Knight returns? Actually it’s interesting to note both Alan Moore and Frank Miller wrote their magnum opus at 29 years old in the climate of America in the 80s. Coincidence?

I’m not crazy about Gibbon’s artwork. It’s serviceable but the gold star for this book would have been Jerry Ordway and Marshall Rogers a close second. Not sure if these guys would have wanted to deal with Moore though.
