Absolutely love this watch and outstanding value for very little money. I bought mine about three months ago, and despite owning a few higher end watches and many in the mid price range, I have worn this about 90% of the time since it arrived. I have worn it while gardening, in the workshop and many places in between, not a mark on it. Like yourself I recently tried a £25k Daytona and it remains a grail watch. With the Pagani I also found a problem with the bracelet, I changed it out also with a WatchGecko strap, I chose to go with the black leather Rally with orange stitching detail. I was lucky to pick the watch up for £50 in the sale, btw the next sale starts 15/6/20 so bargains to be had. The Daytona is so nice come the 15th I will be after the Sub and possibly a GMT.

Hi Dan. The technique for opening the bracelet is to press your thumb where Pagani is engraved on the clasp then use your index fingernail to hook it open. The pressure from your thumb rotates the hook. Pulling up from the sides will, therefore, only increase the grip of the hook. It's designed that way to prevent accidental release. Give it a go and let us all know how you got on.

@@watchmewithwatches yeah...good comment above. The part you were trying to open was the diver feature which gives you a quick extra 1/2 inch to wear over a wetsuit...as if you're really going to dive with it.

I have one on the bracelet. The action on the screw down pushers and screw down crown is really nice + all of the other great specs on this piece. Great Seiko movement, too!

I've got three from Pagani and love them all; the Daytona homage, Hulk submariner, and mecha-quartz 2720k chronograph. Not sure but I may decide to go with the Psrnis GMT to mix it up - Parnis also makes a nice Patek Nautilus homage.

Hi Dan. I bought this exact watch back in April during the AliExpress anniversary sale from the Trendy Men's Watch store, and it came from China in a couple of weeks. I paid about £45 and have been blown away by the quality and specs. Others have commented about the the correct method of opening the clasp, which is very similar to the one Rolex uses, so I won't reiterate the same information. But I have found no problem with it and it is very comfortable to wear and the divers extension is handy in warm weather. I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone who is thinking of getting one.

@@rooppatel3468 I didn’t have any customs fees on this one. I believe Pagani Design also have a shipping location in Spain, so importing within the EU should mean no import taxes anyway.

I don't know if you'll read this, but the reason you're having problems opening the clasp is you're pulling on the wrong bit! Open the 'lid' and pull on the part with the kink in it. There is a spring between the two parts of the clasp which makes it harder to undo by accident.

Thanks for your help, it turns out the spring mechanism was very stiff. Compared to my other two paganis it was very stiff!

Have the same issue with the clasp but I don't consider it a problem for me. Plan to order the Pagani GMT next. Also plan to check out the straps you suggested.

I just got mine. You can buy them on Amazon as well as Ali. The watch is great! Superior quality at an amazing price. I am VERY happy with the watch itself. The stainless band, however, is crap. I agree, watch in hand, with the reviewer's opinion of the band...but for different reasons. But listen, at this price, you have saved enough to go buy a band and still consider the whole thing a great deal. Just put that replacement band into your budget. My reasons for not liking the Pagani stainless band: The stainless band is thin, lightweight, has sharp edges on the skin side, and it friggin' squeaks when you shake your wrist. There's nothing quite like going out with confidence, with your new Rolex Daytona look alike on your arm...and then hearing it squeak like a ten dollar Casio every time you raise your glass! Now, in fairness, the band is not hard to open. I am writing this 10 months after the review was uploaded, so I am guessing they heard people on that and fixed it by now. But as I said, there are plenty of reasons left to continue disliking this band. Hey, I understand that they have to cut corners somewhere to keep the price this low, and personally I am very happy that the corners cut were only on the band. I got a great watch at a great price and tomorrow...I'll have a new band on that great watch. I have no overarching complaints! Buy yeah, you want this watch and a replacement band.

I have no idea what’s going on with your clasp but mine is just fine. I actually switched mine out anyway to a rubber version that looks exactly like the Rolex optional rubber strap. Ebay. Quite nice for $30. I’m quite happy with mine. My Rolex Day date and Explorer 2 just sit in the safe now. I like having an inexpensive attractive watch not to worry about getting jacked. I have a GMT Batman Pagani coming as well.

Pagani certainly offer great value for money, & that Daytona homage is very popular for a reason. The strap issue seems to be a bit of a recurring theme I have the sub homage which has the same bracelet but a different set of issues, it's very loose & has a habit of undoing itself!

I own a few luxury watches, mainly Panerai but some other brands like Zenith also. I have a Pagani GMT (NH34, Batman on the jubilee, or Batgirl as some call it) and this exact Daytona homage. And would you believe it, I wear them most times along with my other beaters like the G Shocks etc.! Something to be said about extreme value, and keeping scratches of the multi-dollar watches... for me, it's time to rethink the "value" aspect, as well as "enjoyment" those expensive second-mortgage-items actually bring :D :D

@@watchmewithwatches Arrived today! No issues with the clasp on the bracelet, but I immediately changed it for the Watchgecko strap. I've bought lots of straps from Watchgecko, so know their quality. I went for the plain black, and it's perfect with the watch, especially in the hot weather. The perforations give it just the right amount of casual style, without being ostentatious. BTW, was that Hayling beach you were at?

Please try opening the clasp properly. When you open the flip lock it exposes the clasp release which is a second lock mechanism. Your watch clasp is NOT hard to open. Pull it from center right under the flip lock with one finger.

@@jasemil707 I understand you are trying to help Dan about the bracelet and in the video he is pulling the wrong part of the clasp. However, quality control on Pagani is often questionable. I have 4 Pagani's with the same bracelet. One is smooth as butter as you say though almost to loose. That Datejust homage watch had issues with the crown. Another GMT version is just about right with mild resistance. The two that came on my two different colorways of this watch however are just like Dan's, so stiff when pulling under the end of the clasp as to be unusable and breaking fingernails. The spring mechanism is too tight. Also lots of sharp edges on the bracelet. Good value but I bought the same Watchgecko strap which is perfect. Thanks Dan!

How did you remove the type of metal strap that was originally on it?

Hi, it has metal spring bars that go through the end links and grip into small holes in the lugs. A spring bar removal tool has a tiny tip shaped like a V which you use to pull the spring bars tips out of where they are seated. Once both sides are released, a bit of wiggling is required sometimes to free the bracelet from the watch. Hope this helps. Regards, Dan.

Rick wallace hi Rick. At the top of the AliExpress page there is a box to change the language of the page which is usually defaulted to English, but next to that there is a drop down box for currency and from there select GBP to show all the listings in Pounds. Hope that helps.
