Not me, but my bfs mom. We're all from the pnw (Washington and oregon) She has long dark hair, it was a year or two before he was caught. She was young, hitchhiking to get somewhere luckily she had her husband with her but he was taking a pee in the trees along the side of the road and she had her thumb out. That's when Ted bundy pulled up in his car, asked if she needed a ride, she agreed and he reached over to open the door for her and she said he was totally charming and relaxed up until she called for her husband to tell him to hurry because she found a ride... She said he panicked and told her he couldn't take them both, asked her to get out, and peeled out driving away.

One time i was job hunting. My friend heard from a colleague about something that i could apply to and told me to send him copies of my ID, etc. After telling me it was a driving job, he stopped communicating (the colleague not my friend). Someone else phoned me later that morning to enquire if i just applied for a security job. I'm like, no i didn't. He was confused and hung up. Few minutes later someone completely different phoned me and was immediately shouting and swearing at me for not understanding the other guy (first red flag). I'm calmly trying to explain to the person that there's been some sort of miscommunication while he's still shouting at me. Eventually he calmed down enough to fully explain the job that i applied to. Second red flag. He explained that the job is for a security driver on a private government run secure location for VIPs. Firstly I was still young and didn't have a gun license, i didn't even know how to handle a gun at that point. Biggest red flag. He then told me that the bus to the secure location was leaving the next morning and he'd only tell me where it was heading when I'm on the bus. And he was deliberately vague about where the bus is gonna be that morning. Firstly, what kjnd of security job hires an untrained unlicensed kid for a very high profile job? What kind of employer berates and shouts at the job applicant over the phone before they even met?! The whole leaving next day sitch. WTF, an employer is supposed to setup a meeting with the applicant (usually a week later) before deciding to give him the job. Plus if it involves relocating, he legally must inform the applicant about that possibility and give them appropriate time to think it through and make plans. I'm just glad i told him no, now I'm just wondering if he was involved in something illegal.

I'll be completely honest. I did, and I thought he was my friend. A long time ago, I had a staff who helped me out with pretty much everything. Though one day I made a phone call to confirm what my homework was. Said staff later called me out and locked me in the car with him for about 10 minutes. All we did was sit in silence. Afterwards he let me out. I later locked myself in my room and barricaded the door. I cussed out his girlfriend, he heard, and, figuratively, broke down the door. He then pinned me against the wall, so I had no choice but to spit in his eye in self-defense. I then went outside in an effort to calm down. When I thought I was calm enough, I attempted to come back in only realizing that the door was locked. I was locked out of my own house. I attempted to come back in, but was denied entry. Eventually they let me back in. The next day, both of them were promptly fired and now I have a restraining order put on them.

But I was so surprised by him I gave him wrong direction. However this is where it got weird. He kept saying "I cant hear you" so I talked louder and again "I cant hear you can you come closer?" he said. Yeah I didnt get any closer I just talked louder and stayed on the side walk kept my distance. then he asked me where I was going and what my name was. I gave him a fake name and at this point I was getting a bad vibe from him so I told him I was going to miss the town bus and just ran off. Thankful he drove off. Maybe he was just a normal guy? I have my own survival story. I must have been about 5 years old. I remember going to school and had to return half day as i wasn't well. My mum collected me midday. I remember i was in my own little world with some sweets in my hand walking slowly behind my mum. We got on our street and my mum was about 20 yards in front of me when this car pulled over by the side of the road. The passenger door opened and i remember a white lady smiling and calling me over with hand signals. I stopped. She put her hands out like when a mother is going to pick up a child. At that young age my gut instinct was to run which i did. I caught up to my mum looked back and the car had gone. The car was driven by a white mid aged man and lady in the passenger. I got so scared. I never shared this with my parents. Years later i told my sisters.

My mother was on the jury for the Manson trial(in fact she was the youngest juror being only 19 at the time), we lived across the street from the sorority house that the nursing students lived in that were attacked by Bundy in fact one of the victims had babysat me before. My mother seemed to have a weird connection to the Manson Family, she went to the same high school as “ Squeaky” Fromme who not only is a Manson Family member but also tried to assassinate president Gerald Ford. I remember Mom telling me about how she was hoping to get out of being on Manson jury because my grandpa was still working at Paramount Studios at the time so she hoped him being in the industry would help get her out of it but unfortunately it didn’t work.
