+SeabassGaming Jethro Tull is a band, not a single person. And they are great band at that, Aqualung ranks among my top 50 favorite albums. Now if Aqualung was going against And Justice for All, that is one thing, but Aqualung was released almost two decades prior. Musically, Crest of a Knave wasn't even that good, and it should have hardly been considered hard rock (certainly not metal)... Metallica got snubbed big time. But the people who vote for the Grammy's are inept anyways, otherwise hard rock and metal would have gotten the recognition it deserved back in the 70s.

Imagine Dragons over Led Zeppelin. Sure, Led Zeppelin was nominated for a live performance of an old song, but I don't think anybody can seriously say that Zeppelin isn't deserving of the Grammy. That being said, I'm not at all saying that Imagine Dragons wasn't deserving of the award. They just happened to be up against the greatest band of all time.

Ben Grieve I think part of the reason that one is looked down was because Imagine Dragons were only fairly new on the scene at that time, having only released their first album, Night Visions, recently at said time. I guess Led Zeppelin fans were salty that a band they never heard of beat out a rock legend.

Not being biased, but Jethro Tull over Metallica should have gotten the top spot. I mean, Tull won an award for a Genre he wasn't even apart of, and he did it by beating the best band of all time in said Genre. By the way, the Baha Men's song Who let the Dogs out were better, and more fun to dance to than the other mention songs, maybe not Blue though.

I have absolutely no problem with The Suburbs by Arcade Fire winning Album of the Year over Lady Gaga. Sure, it's their third studio album, but that win was an example of awarding based on creative talent rather than popularity which I feel better justifies an award because it signifies good quality as opposed to just slapping it on the one who's the "in" thing. Arcade Fire are actually a great indie band, and Lady Gaga fans were just salty about it. Don't get me wrong, Gaga is a good artist in her own right, but I feel this upset was a nice change of pace from what we usually saw from a major Grammy award win.
