I was going to say 2010's The Last Airbender, but. It is getting a netflix series which feels like a retelling and sequel to 2010's The Last Airbender. Anything that is associated with the last airbender name is considered canon.

A film that really doesn't need a sequel is 2001's reimagining of Planet of the Apes. Because the film is more faithful to the 1963 novel. Unlike the original 1968 film and its follow-ups. Including the 2011 reboot series. The plot twist reveals this film ends on a bleak ending. Imagine turning the original 1968 film Planet of the Apes film with the 2001 vibe, and taking the original film with a futuristic setting would be a disaster. I'm glad the original Planet of the Apes film, it's sequels, and 2011 Reboot Trilogy. Decided to be their own thing. Having no connection to the 2001 Remake film, that follows the novel more closely. A good decision to me.

This came out when I was 11 and I don’t remember seeing any ads for the film. I gave this movie a chance and It’s pretty fun. For years I didn’t know if they had any plans for a sequel. I was so shocked that it had a post credit scene because no one ever said anything about it.

I don't think anyone hates his Spider Man, his movies tho, the problem is his movies, everything surrounding him, not his performance. It's not his fault, both of his solo movies have a messy and convoluted writing with heavily studio interfernece. It shows that Sony was focusing way too much about the future but forgot to make a great Spidey movie first. The reason why Andrew is getting more love is because MCU gave him a better writing for his character and direction than he did in his solo movies. Messy writing in his solo movies can truly affected his performance and tanked the entire movie

Independence Day Resurgence wasn't bad for me and while it maybe 5 1/2 now, but it took 20 years for the sequel so I'm still hoping for a 3rd with the refuge planet, to expand Independencedayverse. If the Leader does appear in the MCU, Betty should return too as Harpy before becoming Red She-Hulk. My fan thoughts and an idea for Marvel company, combine the 2 for Red Harpy. My sister and I both like Green Lantern and let my give u all a heads up if u didn't know this, but there was an original character whose origins was explored in a comic related to the film. A purple skin lantern woman with wing like ears and an open torso on her uniform. Oh as for Justice League 2017, that was a bomb cause Zack Sydney daughter died and left in grief before returning. 2017 was somebody else's work, if u didn't know.

After “Spiderman: No Way Home” redeemed them, there are rumors that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire could get another Spiderman movie. Also, Roland Emmerich still has hopes a third “Independence Day” movie could still be made. In addition, regarding an honorable mention, following the critical and box office success of 2020’s “The Invisible Man”, Universal resumed the development of the failed Dark Universe, and next year we will get “Renfield”.

The 1983 Dan Aykroyd movie 'Doctor Detroit' has a teaser at the end saying 'Coming Soon-Doctor Detroit 2 The Wrath of Mom' meant as a joke on the part of Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan, and also 'The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai' teasing a sequel at the end- 'Buckaroo Banzai Against The World Crime League'. That sequel WAS written and all the cast members were interested in coming back for the sequel, but like so many others on this list, it did poorly at the box office, so the plans for the sequel were scrapped.

Yeah maybe because back in 2014, TASM2 was so mediocre, it dissapointed some people including myself. I always feel bad that Andrew never got to play Spidey again after that because he was great as the character but his movies were really a mixed bag for me. But with his return as Spidey in the MCU and was given a better material to work with, people loved him a lot more than he was in his solo movies. People basically wanted TASM3 as long as its better than the previous two messy movies with less studio interference. People nowadays realized that Andrew could've been a great Spidey as long as he was given a better material to work with which MCU helped him which led to a possibily that Sony should hire better writers for his next Spidey movie if they decided to make one after Andrew's success with NWH

The original Independence Day is a Classic. And I was SO excited for sequel but My God that movie sucked. Wasted to much time setting up the third one. And bringing in a Queen Alien was a big mistake. Not only is it to similar to Aliens (86) but in the first one those aliens were represented mostly by there technology.

Satisfying? Like they ended up a movie with an unfinished battle of Rhino and a teasing of the Sinister Six movie at the end credits that's never gonna happen? That's not satisfying, it ain't a bad movie, there's still some entertaining moments but Sony should've stop worrying about the future and make a cohesive movie first because while it's entertaining at times, from a storytelling standpoint, it was very messy and convoluted
